  • First trip on my Dominar to Pondy.

Hello guys.!! This is Sreevathsan, coming up with the first ride on my Eternia
    Prologue:
To begin with, as I've said in my earlier post, I'm preparing for GATE-2017 and god, it's tough. So, I'm on a hectic schedule of learning all day and as a bolt from the blue, I got an opportunity to ease the stress off of my mind. On 24th January night, my Dad asked me to drop me off at the bus stand, because he had to go to Pondicherry for an official meeting. I said ok, but then after dinner, an idea struck my mind, 'what if I could take him on the bike there, and meanwhile while he's in the meeting, I could go visit a couple of places and return the next day'. So, I asked him and he was quite worried of sitting in the same position throughout the entire journey, but I somehow convinced he would do the same on a bus and that we'll take enough rest stops :P. Finally, he agreed and we were all set to leave the next day at 4 am.
Well, I've read in most of the tlog's, where people said they were too excited about the journey ahead to sleep, and that hasn't happened much to me until that day. The reason was it was the first trip on my Eternia (Dominar 400). I lied down at 9pm so that we could wake up around 3.30am, have a shower and start by 4am. But no, the thoughts wandering around my brain wont let me sleep. I was so excited about the ride, went through the route via Google Maps and then a few times on my mind, taking snaps of sunrise, sunset, bike along the highway, etc. and finally my brain let me sleep when the time on my watch was around 12.30am. The dreams were of the ride too and finally I woke up at 3.15am even before the alarm went off. I got my riding gear ready and had a shower and it was 3.30am; I went out and planted a kiss on my girl and wiped the dust off her, while my Dad was taking a shower and getting ready for his first long ride in a bike. And there we were on the roads, starting right on time, leaving the dogs around my area wonder where these weird-dressed men are off to.

Check out few pics, while I continue with the log after approval

So, that's me cleaning up ma girl.!

Started the bike, and letting the engine run for a minute or two.

Nice pics and you have one friendly dad who accompanies you for the long rides (after your persuasion though )

One doubt: With the temp registration, how did you manage to clock so many kms, wont you have trouble while doing the actual registration or the registration was completed before this trip and you still running with the temp plates.

How was the comfort for your dad? Was he comfortable all throughout the trip?
