    Nice,

Good to see you in gears.

I used to travel to Yercaud and Kolli hills from Pondy through this route. Each time the ride brings a smile in me, esp, after the stretch from Ulunderpet junction to salem, where in i can confidently twist the throttle to 130KMPH.

Have cooled off for the past two months owing to the cold weather in the mornings and evening.

Nice to see your dad along with you, but, i bet he wouldnt hop again for long rides again. My brother too complained of soar bum after two hours into the ride. I got myself a gel pad seat, but, for pillions it is really tough. be it any vehicle.

    Enjoy your rides.....

      Thanks bro. Safety first.!
Ah. That's nice to hear. Yea. I had forgotten my thermal liner that day and it was very cold in the morning. Yes, he didn't want to tag along next time on the bike unless I have better cushion arranged.
      Anyway, thanks bro.
      Cheers.

            Sightseeing in Pondy

After reaching Pondy, and having a yummy breakfast, I took a short nap. I had to drop my Dad at his conference place and I planned to head out to the Promenade and Boulevard town. We started around 10am from Villianur and riding in Pondy was terrible. There were no signals as far as I saw and no-one followed even the basic of road-rules. It was chaos at every four-way junction. Finally, we reached Pondy and I dropped him off and headed out to the Manakula Vinayagar Temple, which was the closest. Unfortunately, I wasn't let it as I was wearing jeans . These streets are a delight to ride in, calm and surrounded by greens with minimal traffic. I went to the Boulevard town next, which is the French colony, the famous yellow buildings that appear in so many South Indian movie scenes. I had some snacks at Le Cafe, where I had the privilege to meet a French lady, who's been living in Pondi for 10 years now. I spoke to her for a while and got some shots of the architecture. Then, I headed out to the Promenade beach, which is rocky with waves crashing on every now and then. One can take a stroll along the beach, the path is well-constructed and traffic in the roads blocked in the mornings and the evenings. As I walked along the promenade, the French War memorial came into view. Got some shots of it and headed on, the promenade lasted about 2.5kms rough, and from the end, I was able to see the Pondy port. I walked back and then I met this nice American, spoke to him for a while and asked him to take some pictures of me. Aurobindo Ashram was close-by and my bad luck, it was lunch time there and so was it at the Museum. I went to Bharathi park, just rested for a while and taking some pics of the park. Then, my Dad called, I picked him up and we then went home for lunch around 3pm. I had planned to go to Paradise beach in the evening, but unaware of myself, I had dozed off after lunch and only woke up at 8pm right for dinner The next morning, we woke up at 5am and rode home, reached home around 8.30am.*
