Not really. We took more rest stops than planned due to "bum aches", for my dad. The rider seat is comfy enough. The pillion seat is too narrow, and difficult for elders to sit, is what he said. Should be the good for youngsters is what he said.Originally posted by LostRider View Post

Hi bro !
Sweet Tlog. Subscribed even before I read!
My most favourite picture among the above is the one, your super cool dad and eternia together.
Nice to hear about the good feedbacks of D400. One question may be OT, how good is your MT during night rides especially when you face the high beams of on coming traffic.

Yea. That pic came out quite well.
The helmet is very good for night rides. Though the negative of highbeam of oncoming traffic is slightly present, but still it is manageable. I felt a bit difficulty at times, to see the road ahead. But most of the riders on the highway, were good enough to switch to low beam when I dimmer at them. Now, this difficulty may partly be due to me wearing glasses too. So, I'm not really sure about it. But, I'd say the helmet is really good looking, has ece protection and the air circulation is very nice. I dont sweat much inside due to properly located air vents. Ping me if you wanna know more.
Cheers,
SV

Thanks Doga ji.Originally posted by Doga View PostGreat photos dude. Must be special riding with Dad. You breaking the bike in on this ride?
Yes, it was very special bro. It was his first time on a bike as well, as in a 200 km rides. Except the pillion seat, he enjoyed every bit of it and I'm glad he did.
I'm following the manual as much as possible. It states the limit zone at 73 kmph at 6th gear for the first 1000kms and later 85kmph at 6th gear for 2000kms. Whereas, there is an rpm limit on the bike which comes up at 8.5k rpm. This confuses me as to which I should follow. When the bike was provided to me at Coimbatore, only thing I was told was to not cross the rpm limit. There wasn't any manual then to state the kmph limit. So I rode at 120-130kmph when I came to Salem from Coimbatore, where the bike ran at 7.5k rpm max. It's after I got the manual from a friend, I came to know of the speed limits, being very much lesser than what the bike could do at the prescribed rpm limit. 😅
But, I haven't really followed the running in procedure with my Unicorn earlier and it lasted well for 6 years. So I'm not really sure what to do. One thing I feel is, when there is a nice road up ahead, why would I have to go at 73kmph when the bike can do better.! At the same time, it worries me if I would ruin the bike by overextending.
I'm gradually increasing to higher speeds, as the odo count increases, hoping she would serve me great for long.Last edited by Unforgiv3n biker; 01-31-2017, 01:07 AM.
