I am in Dehradun at present. The city where I spent most of my childhood. Where I had my first bicycle ( Hero Ranger) and then after a few years my first motorbike (RX 100). I upgraded to the legendary RD 350 within a year and moved to Pune for my studies. All this was funded by my father of course. No wonder he saw my 350 as a dangerous and expensive toy and in my absence got rid of it . That was almost 15 years ago.
I have been using public transport since then and got a car when my daughter announced her impending arrival into this world. That was 3 years ago.
I wasn't in Dehradun until yesterday. I have been living in Noida with my wife and daughter since last 3 years.
But last month I did something out of the blue. I decided to reignite my riding passion and somehow managed to bring home the bike of my dreams. It wasn't all hunky dory of course and even today I had to make a painful promise to wifey. She wasn't too happy when I decided to ride to Dehradun on my new bike. I did it any how. And she has been fuming since then. Calling me insensitive and selfish.
I am posting some pics from my ride and in the process trying to relive that incredible experience. I am sure you guys will understand.

NH24 not the best place to ride but I had no choice.

Namastey Midway: A nice place to take a break on NH58. Exactly midway between Delhi Dehradun.

Traffic and the roads in certain areas were bad and I got stuck in a few places. But I loved every moment of it.
Spent the day at home just catching up on events at home and being lazy. It rained in the evening and the weather became very very pleasant.
Took a trip to mussoorie next day in the latter half as it rained all morning too.

This is the venue where I got married 6 years ago.
Well as I was mentioning earlier about a painful promise to wifey, i promised that I won't bring back the bike to noida by riding it. I don't know where it came from but she asked me to make that promise. I am going out of the country for next 3 months. So I have 3 months to figure out a loophole in this. Your suggestions are most welcome.
Bye for now.
