Re: Adventurous Ride To Leh Ladakh On Hero Splendor with my wife.
Beautiful indeed. I think the drive that a human being has, is something to cherish. It's no easy feat two up with such a broken tarmac. Keep exploring.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

We started our ride at around 3:00 AM from Vikas Puri with our fellow rider (on RE ThunderBird 500). We had one saddle bag and one more bag with us on our Hero MotoCorp Splendor (2016 model). We did our first stretch of 136Kms and stopped at a restaurant in Mehmadpur (Punjab) for breakfast @ around 7:30AM, after getting fresh and having breakfast we continued our journey. We did a stretch of 235 Kms from Mehmadpur to Talsri and stopped there to give some rest to our bikes.
By around 6 PM we reached Manali. We were so tired that we dint even had dinner and went to sleep.

I said Ok and disconnected the call and abused my self for ignoring his call again and again and thanked god for getting the Bag back.
Next morning I met him at his place and he returned my bag with each and everything being intact as it was.

People like you inspire. I can feel your determination and confidence. And here are people who keep thinking that "Once a day... they will be get Leh'd", only after they will have some higher C.C bike, lots of fancy gears, a lot of preparation and blah.. blah. You prove that what you have is enough, just go and live your dreams, only if you have courage.
Salute!Last edited by PUN_DIT; 07-10-2017, 10:07 PM.

Amazing brother. I read this post on my fb and man, it was really inspiring. Much much respect to your wife for joining you on such a long journey as a pillion. You are the reason people like us are motivated to ride on.
I really liked your investment scheme though. Safety gears first. Low capacity bike but full protection, amazing. You are really lucky to have such a understanding and adventurous wife.
wish you many more successful rides ahead.

Re: Adventurous Ride To Leh Ladakh On Hero Splendor with my wife.
Congrats on completing this amazing journey and hats off to you.
You did in on low capacity machine with pillion and bags that too in June which require lots of courage for sure
I don't want to discourage anyone but don't you think it was too much risky specially traveling with wife
There are always two sides of travel and we should think about both, I read when you were stuck at Barlachala it was scary and could have been worst bro
Please get your bike checked, removing airfilter could damage your engine
I am sure you have learned many lessons from this trip but I would advise all the rider to plan some extra when with female
Happy for you that you have completed it and appreciate that you spend on riding gears.
Keep on riding and stay safe - (Madam ko shat shat Pranam , she is too courageous)

Thanks! I was in a fear of not be able to complete ride with my wife but actually I got successful just because of her! She was my strength and encouragement during the ride. She supported me through out the ride. I give all the credits to my wife and bike for successfully completing my ride.Originally posted by Neerajvayu View PostCongrats on completing this amazing journey and hats off to you.
