        Well looooot many questions to ask.. but I think it'll b better to talk personally.. For the time being..just one question..

        what are the time spans considered ideal for leh trip? I mean the bike leh trip. I mean I heard the roads are blocked for a certain period of time and also some other probs. So what exactly is the ideal time for being Leh'ed.? Of course now that you people are goiing in June this has to be the time but apart from this when all can one go there?

                have all of you guys done a complete medical ?? at least a full CBC ? you'll need to check haemoglobin / iron levels at the very least.

                will get back to you on the medicine list.

                  hmmm.. havent done the complete medical though.. but v may visit the doc before we leave..!

                    Am sorry Mates if I am sounding absurd, but I would like to say that please dont take Leh to be a place on Mars or Moon, it is a place that is very well inhabited by Humans and a few animals too. yes there are stray cases of people not being able to acclimatise to the change in altitude....but as long as we are generally physically fit, no chronicle illness, not asthamatic and types, we all are fit to go..... just be a bit gentle on smoking and drinking...... else its just another Doable Place!
                    Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

                    Save the Tigers! Only 1411 (excluding ME) are left!

                      but good to note the points from various pros, its all bout taking ultra care..!!

                      u whr right on the smoking/drinking part..! need to control it perhaps..
                      i was also curious to know how well can v manage to sleep, being in a totally out of the world place, low temperature, climatic changes, altitude ..
                      coz due to improper sleep next days ride will suffer..

                        Arey Rachit, believe me after the day's ride, we all hit the sack and doze away, who cares where we are... on my night halt at Sarchu( which a lot of toureres dont prefer to stay at) Ismoked good, I drank lots of Rum and slept on the bedding without even taking off my Riding jacket.., it was just fine... see this pic




                        you are going to love the kind of accomodation you get there....


                        Just make sure that your bike is in the best of her health and spirit, anything that you are not confident about, get it changed.

                          couldnt see ur pic as its just too small, but can make out from your words how u must have thrown urself on the bed & slept..
                          if you have some more pix with some info would u mind sharing..! just m too addicted to see the leh in & around pix..!
