apologies on getting back a bit late on the med list. thing is we had to hunt up this piece of paper from all of last year's crap from the trip. anyway...here goes.
meftal 500 - for body/tooth/head aches, fever. upto 3 per day
flucold - for cough and cold
allegra - for allergies
lomotil - for loose motions
ondem - for vomitting and motion sickness. if any of you are prone to motion sickness, take before starting the ride
ferroslate - iron tablets. you should have ideally started this course about 2 weeks at least before the trip.
for altitude sickness: decadron 8 mg, depin 20 mg and diamox. diamox to be taken before the journey. please verify dosage of these. i can't remember exactly.
please run through this list with your doctor before you take them. i am not sure if any of these are with sulpha. if you have a problem with supha based drugs, you cannot take it. i am not sure which of these are sulpha based. in any case, apart from the sulpha thing, please double check this list with your doc before you use any of these meds. consider the standard disclaimer mentioned. :-)
also, unfortunately i cannot locate the strip of med the army doctor gave us. but i do remember that it was sulpha based, because one of the guys in our group was allergic to sulpha, and he was not given that pill.
this list is apart from the standard meds you have already taken. additionally we had also taken a small oxygen cylinder for emergencies. but you can't do that on a bike. but i guess its okay.
have a wonderful trip, ride safe and enjoy.
godspeed.
