    Re: Leh Ladakh 2018

This place in particular was most special. It was getting dark and this particular mountain was in some special kind of light. It was like low intensity tube lights were illuminating this area. We were dumbstruck looking at it.

              Leh Ladakh 2018

              Day 7
This was our rest day. We woke up late, had our breakfast. Simultaneously we were looking for online pass. Out of the blue, our friend Singh declared that he will not continue further and will return to home by air, bike in transport. We felt bad (I was heartbroken) but we supported his decision. We two (Dutta and me) took printouts of our passes, we had lunch, took the bike to mechanic for some minor repairs, and then we went to transport office for booking Singh’s bike. While booking the bike, Singh had some inner revelations, god looked down upon him and advised him to continue the journey despite the issues. Singh heard it, changed his decision and asked us to look for pass. I was delighted. We rushed to arrange for his pass, and got the same from local agents without any hassle. This was time for celebration as a defeated soldier rose again to claim victory against towering mountains. So we celebrated in our eshtyle. After this, did some shopping for our families (Read :Bribery; so that the permissions for tours will continue). Dutta, Singh and me emptied our pockets there, had lunch and came back to hotel by 11:00PM.

                          Day 8
This was the day of reckoning. Earlier our plan was to ride to Nubra Valley via Khardung la pass, but my other two friends has smaller fuel tank (Added with 5 liters of additional fuel in jerrycans) felt the risk to be too much to be covered. So it was decided that we will return from Khardong La to leh and we’ll cancel Nubra Valley. With this planning, we left our hotel (Without our luggage) towards Khardung La. The roads were good for first 30 kms. Last 10 kms were dreadful (Read experience of riding on Khardung La). We reached there and our feelings were beyond explanations. The experience is just out of the world. A sense of achievement was hovering around our eyes. We took some photos, chatted with some other tourists. We came to know that our army was providing oxygen to needy tourists and our friend Singh was in need of some. We went inside and had a blast of oxygen. Our breathing was calmed and mind was concentrated again. We stayed there approximately half an hour and started our return journey. We returned to Leh without any problems. Had lunch there. I was feeling a bit off and my body temperature was above normal. So I decided to rest today, had a crocin and went to sleep. We woke up at around 07:00PM and again we went to explore the market. Came back to hotel to watch FIFA World Cup finals. Had some chill time. We decided our next course of action, had dinner and went to sleep.
