Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

                        Update this evening...

                        Last Stop

Time 19:45 hours. Distance covered: 1016 kms. Place: Baroda

That makes for 75kmph average speed after 13.5 hours of riding today.

The last bit was not fast according to him. Single road, lots of local traffic slowing him down considerably. Plans to reach Bombay after midnight and stop for his quick dinner!

This guy is gutsy and amazing. This is only his 3rd outing with a bike in his life. First was when he did Saddle Sore about a year back, (did not get it ratified!) Second was when he went to some places in Punjab a few weeks ago. And now this!

What's the status? Going onto mumbai isnt a good idea. He would need a pump with CC near ajmer in that case - which is tough.

plus the fuel in that area is one of the worst all india!!

hoping he's doing well on his pursuit!

PS: Ken - he never rides a bike except to make records? interesting.

Updates on the morning of June 2nd, 2009.

Reached Pune: 1618 Kms at 0528 hours.

His chain started emanating noises and he lost grip on his rear brake completely. He lost a lot of time trying to look for a place to get it fixed first at Himmatnagar and then at Gandhinagar. Currently he is also facing issues with his console that is showing erratic figures. Thus he is not sure of the speeds or distances covered. This seems to have demoralised him a little bit judging by the way he talked. After over 24 hours of riding, he sounds a little tired. But he is on his way back now. I hope he continues full power and nothing goes wrong with his bike anymore.
