And as I saw your photographs once again and read your text, I realised that even Lovemax rode a CBZ, albeit the older version. What uncanny similarities!

Does not matter. He was one amazing rider, on the "older" xbhp, did Ladakh 4 times in a row, did Spiti regularly, Srinagar to Delhi at one go... etc etc etc... and a photographer... a legend in himself.

You seem to be in the same league! My respect to you.

Right, so I continued... Took a link road to Geyu where I spotted the housed mummy which was oh so life like!!

Pardon the pictures, they were taken from behind a glass window + forget photography, have trouble in simple point and shoot!!..

After all the surprise and utter disbelief, I took the link road back to the main and continued to Tabo..

The wind was frightening! I was beginning to feel that somewhere from up the mountain would be a boulder that would come tumbling down and sweep me off the road.... So guess what pros the fear brought with it?? I picked up speed and was in Tabo in less than half an hour!

Tabo, the home of a pretty old monastary (around 1000 years old).

Took a few pics, had a plate of finger licking mutton momos.

Loitered around for a bit and then continued till kaza ...

Some where on a river bank:

                Weird rock formation:

                Reached Kaza around 1800 hours.

It had been an 18 hour ride, no sleep, few breaks. I was tired, but the look on my face showed, that yes, i was satisfied with meself!!

                    Thanks dcs!

The saddle bags looked over sized coz of the rain cover that was on them. Contained, well nothing much, just some spares, foot pump and some clothes,,

Thanks for appreciating ken, though I am just a ordinary guy completely in love with the combination of motorbikes and mountains!

18 hrs of riding in one go . You are one hell of a marathon tourer... Kudos to you man !! Everytime you bring one such ride done in such less time that would put experts to shame.
Your Extreme goes through a lot & even the tyres would have be-friended the tarmac of Himachal.

                              Nice ride & b'ful pics. Cheers !!

Dear Abhishek and all: If everything goes as planned then come September and we will have something of the similar kinds to be posted in the tourer section. am 98% sure, the rest 1.5% is for the office and 0.5% is for all the other unseen circumstances. Keeping the fingers crossed.
