This pic is taken on sep15th when weather was chilly and driving conditions were none too easy then to freeze u in freezing weather. Fog added with rain + zero visbility driving conditions.Comment

Single day riding to Narkanda would be asking for 2much. Upto Shimla the roads are good for biking as well as speed riding. Beyond Shimla the roads are generally broken and the speeds come down.
If money/ time is not a problem, explore the possibility of staying at cheaper hotels just beyond Shimla, ride the Basantpur road next morning meeting the NH at Kingal. Ride the NH upto Rampur and catch the dirt track via Nogli, Baghi to Narkanda.

@ vivek_arya : i did delhi-shimla-theog-rohru (480kms) in june...wasnt much of a prob..in this case , it wud be delhi-shimla-narkanda (420kms)..only if the highway is closed n we have to tk the basantpur road,den it will be a prob for us and den we will sleep for the night b4 narkanda itself..
