      Day7: Manali-Keylong

No, neither I am going back not I am staying back in Manali.

As some one said Winner Never Quit and Quitters Never. Even If I don’t win I didn’t want to quit. I come so far, so why not ride for 3 more days for the final destination.
To my surprise there were roads than what I expected. Some stretch of the Rohtang pass was full of slush. BRO at work. We got some rain too. We all carried extra 4L petrol which was not used. Infact after reacheing leh I had almost 5L left out. This stretch I got we all got more mileage. I got around 37. Today there was not much drama, yes but there was some excitement of seeing a all new world. We stayed at Keylong since this is the last spot where we could get electricity to charge our CAM batteries. We rode very relaxed all the way from Manali to Keylong, almost stopping every now and then.

Stopped for a pic. My bike wanted to take a dip. It fell by itself.

      Rohtang

All kudos to Rahul , he rode all these stretched without keeping foot on ground.

Thanks Man, yes there were some breathing problems for ZMA's while climbing up. But got that fixed from LEH. From then on there were no issues. I will write more abt it.

          Adipoli, Ashwin! Keep them coming!

Btw, mother nature was kind to us. We escaped all those slush.

Reading the logs. Keep it coming. Quite a bit of hardships on the way I see. I was wondering, how come you hurt your knees when you had a knee guard?

I am suffering more now. Since I didnt take rest the wound got infected.
There are dead cells, now getting cleaned up every dressing. Might take one or two weeks to cover up the flesh. Wound is quite deep. Working from home these days

First of all for my leg the Knee guard belts where bit loose. If I weart and extra inner pant it would have hold on tight. Then may once I rolled it would have got moved.

                    Day 8: Keylong-Sarchu
Baralachalaaa.. he he. Some how I like this name a lot. I used to say it like that at times when I feel bored, even before the trip. Today we passed Baralachala. Today we realized that all bikes did feel loss of power while climbing up. But 220 was doing with much ease than the ZMA’s. I felt like there is jerk as if the petrol is getting over when I rev hard in any gear. So I had to keep it a bit low so that the bike moved without any issue. I think no bike in India can do beyond 70 km/hr when you climp up at an altitude of 17,000 feet above sea level. I couldn’t do beyond 50-55. But things got better when we got the bikes tuned from LEH, that the story to come.

Today I changed the dressing from a Military camp. Once its done I asked for some water. After drinking half I gave it back, but then he said don’t waste water anyway you have to drink a lot of water here, so finish it. I didn’t say anything just finished it in no time and gave back. He he . Usually it pains a lot after dressing. I had to walk around 200meters from the camp to main road where I kept the bike. Oh my god I was the longest walk of my life, I took around 20 mins. I lost my sun glass which I kept in my cargo pants pocket since I rode bike without bending the knee till the tent where we stayed. Reached back and slept till 8:30 when the tent boy called for having dinner.
It was damn cold and there were heavy winds too. By 9pm heard a sound of bullet (I mean the bike Bullet), he was from Romani. He was coming from LEH. How did he manage to ride at night with that much cold and with out a helmet visor. Next day morning when I talked to him, he said he is on trip since last 4 months and one month he was in LEH.. damn Lucky guy !!

I really cannot express what I see, by my words. So drool on the pics.
Since too many LEH threads trying to post less pics

These guys are just amazing... They got great stamina.. !!!

The only thing going in my mind is How will I face all the people who calls we the riders crazzy.. because according to them what we do is meaning less, risky and some says foolishness. Some says let me know one you are back. I have heared many of those , I know many of us here would have. They all will laugh at my face... I didnt want to have a such situtation..!! So didnt feel like quiting, they were my strengths

                              vow.. sexy pix again rocckkyyy..
any angle of LEH becomes a wallpaper pic... its for sure..!!
my cellphone, laptops desktop is filled up with my own wallpapers & feels so good to see, here I am..!!
hope nothing much troubled happen.. dont worry about the fall, its the most obvious thing on a LEH ride.. even we had our set of falls & slips couple of times.. each of us falled down atleast for 2 times.. thanks to the gear that we can smile & ride ahead..!!

but dude.. the snow is considerably less & lot of huge water crossing.. guess the snow what we encountered had started melting..!!
that water makes it more adventurous.
