Day 10: Leh-Pangong Tso
As soon we as got up me and Rahul decided to get the bikes fixed since it was showing problems while climbing to higher altitude. We went to airport road and there met a mech.I told hime that we are facing lose of power while riding on the mountains.
And I said there is a jerk as if the petrol is getting over.
From Chang la top we had free Masala tea and biscuits. It was very tasty, thanks to Indian Army. Every where they are very helpful even though they ask lots of questions initially. We took our own time to reach tangste. We knew about the Pagal Nalla and the police from check post had warned us also. We still thought will go and have a look
.
I was some what getting tensed as and when we were approaching it.One the way we crossed a small nalla on the road, I asked Rahul is this the one ? he just smiled. Actually I was asking seriously. We approached ever further then I saw a glimpse of a lake and it was quite be. I really got tensed OMG is this what we have to cross. The suddenly the road ended I saw some bridge construction going one. Then I thought did they build a bridge on top of it. I took one more curve, then I saw some one lying on road , a second look no, its not a person it was a bag.
Moved further , we saw a guy on his bullet on the banks of the Nalla. They had removed all the luggage from the bike and kept it aside. They ? yeah David was with his girlfriend. She was from California forgot her name and David from France. She also looked bit tensed and was smoking. The water looked a bit scary. I took the tripod to see the depth of the water. There was rush but not that depth , but at some place it was deep. You cant look and make out in that dirty water. These guys were waiting there for a long time without knowing what to do. There was a Safari following us. We waited for it.
It was a couple. We asked them to try it out. With the booster from the girl the guy took it to the Nalla and he just crossed so fast. At some place cars tire was almost under water.
Then we passed the luggage to the other side , my helmet fell while we were throwing it.
Again the water was damn chill. I had to remove the sox and shoe immediately after crossing and put some sand on my leg to make it warm. It takes some 2 mins to get back in to normal temperature. We all crossed to the other side. All were tiered and happy.
David said thanks to me for the Inspiration and his GF said form now will ride together.
But we took lot of time there to tie everything back, so I asked them to continue hoping to meet in Pangong. But their plans was to stay in spangmik. It was just 4-5 km to the lake. To stayed in tent. Ordered the food , had it and slept for the day.

sexy video man..! there are lot of such passes where we could have recorded videos. But unfortunately we didnt record any vids as we use to be in a hurry of crossing it first from that chilling water.

Yep it was fun crossing it. I am not sure if we have lot of these kind of Naala between Manali- Leh.We didnt encouter any other like or close to this. This was the biggest and craziest one I have seen in the trip.Originally posted by rachitkohli View PostComment
