Excellent write up Neo Da
... R6 would have been one bike where you would have enjoyed...but onething I wanna know is that with the tank bag and the back pack did u feel uncomfortable riding it......(yeah I read before that with wind the back pack would swing here and there.. so asking apart from there)
Waiting for more brother...Last edited by Shivanshu; 12-03-2009, 10:36 AM.

And put tapes on the rear fairing to save the paint!Originally posted by satyenpoojary View Post
Get rid of that bagpack man..... it will rip you apart like Ken da said... also it will make it difficult for you to move around... throw in saddle bags and you will feel the difference! The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

And shivanshu...Tank bag never gave any problem...except that i was worried about it scratching my tank and so was keeping a cloth inbetween. And yeah it used to shift little bit towards the direction there was more weight, so at times i had to again put it back in place whenever it tilted towards right or left. But this was because i had my SLR with the batterygrip and so was quite heavy. If you have small accessories scattered in your bag...it doesnt behave so.
I somehow didnt have any problem with the Backpack as such. Ya its more comfortable with the saddle bags. But with the backpack on it wasnt THAT uncomfortable for me. Still would prefer saddle bag for touring
ya i was really surprised to see the road was nice with those twisties and once in a while there were these small tea stalls on some twisties located beneath a huge tree, i really loved the view...dont know how to express the view in words.
Hehe everybody does...once in a while some people you meet give you those vibes and you feel like reciprocating in a generous/loving way
Ya i shall surely send you a message
I dunno about you but for me it would be really nice meeting you
And i too fear damaging my fairing and thats why was thinking about the best i can get. Pls do let me know about your saddle bags. Have they damaged or scratched your fairings ?

Rajasthan is my favourite place and I can hardly wait for the day 3 triplog !
I also tour using a backpack/rucksack and have generally been able to do long distances. You are right when you say that it just takes some adjusting of the straps but these days they design the stuff quite ergonomically!
Looking forward to moreLife is like riding a bike. It is impossible to maintain your balance while standing still.

Neo, great ride there. Am so happy to see more and more people using big bikes over longer distances, rather than just short 100 km jaunts. The more these threads and rides happen, the better things will get. Hats off man.

Next three days we were spent enjoying the fair and shooting different facets of this colourful festival.
JJ
We had decided to leave on the last day of the festival as my friend already had hours of video of this fantastic festival. But looking at the crowd increasing during the evenings we decided to stay back. And I was glad we stayed because I thoroughly enjoyed the tug of war and camel race that day J
L
Anyways..we left at around 8 am. The hotel owner so lovingly asked his son to make tea for us. And it was complimentary JJ
JL
We took another halt little ahead to adjust his camera and there we see two young boys coming towards us proposing to show us magic J We took our cameras out and asked them to Do the show for us JJ
JJ hehe he was shocked and was little disappointed at losing the expected business.
J
Anyways we reached home late at around 7 pm. In between few school and college guys who I am sure must have never seen such a bike in this area were really VERY excited and requested me to stop after failing to get a decent picture from their bikes. I too thought why not J They were very happy and so was I JJ
J I was really shocked to hear that J
Day 4 over 330 kms

Thanks buddyOriginally posted by betaal View PostNicely penned down. Loved it. Keep it going.
Ya i too didnt find it rucksack problematic. It was pretty okay. Specially at the speeds of 180-190 i didnt find my rucksack exerting any pressure on my shoulders.Originally posted by AnuragAshok View PostRajasthan is my favourite place and I can hardly wait for the day 3 triplog !

you, kenda and few more of your ilk are the ones that inspire me. I was thinkng whether i should go alone from here tilll Udaipur and jaipur. i was still usure and what came to my mind was your trip, i dont remember the name but you went alone somewhere close to bangalore and at one stop took a short power nap with ur bike parked aside..i just faintly remember that episode. But seriously it helped me take a decision that i can go alone....why not
