Hehe no man there are'nt any such tribes in sirohi Its just that at nights on the sirohi udaipur highway there are these tribes that block your way, hurl stones and then loot you. And the main problem with these people is that they 'work' hard for their loot. So if they catch you and you give them ur wallet n ornaments voluntarily they will not accept it hehe they say 'Hum mehnat ki khate hain' ya the 'mehnat' is sweating out beating the hell out of you hehe So at night police sends 5-8 vehicles together. And we cant see a thing at night and they r well versed with everything. but its after sunset.

The way he was asking questions, I could sense Pankaj wanted to do something about it. And so, after taking the teacher's permission we decided to do the wiring ourselves. Pankaj had knowledge about the wiring and he knew he will be able to do it. I knew we had all the tools and equipment needed for this work at my place. Anyways we got the privilege to do something for the kids. And we completed it in 2 days (not 2 full days as we had to work between particular time slot so the actual work hours were less) 3rd day we gave the teachers and senior kids basic training in computers and how they can use it for learning and teaching.

We spent 2 extra days in our village than what was earlier planned, but doing something for the school was very satisfying. Ok so the school chapter was over and now we thought of doing some masti.

I took Pankaj to one of my farm (we never slept at home those 4 nights, we slept at the farm ) I dismounted the trolley from my tractor and we went for an off roading experience J I let pankaj drive and we went through the mountain roads and took him to our second farm. Once there we did some basic chit chatting and I decided that we ride a bullock cart J I asked the care taker if it was possible and he enthusiastically started working on it J within 15 minutes Pankaj was on the bullock cart riding it and learning the art of maneuvering a bullock cart J

                JJ

J The kids looking at both the bikes and the sound were scared. And I in my full biking regalia was looking like a sci-fi character to them J they were not ready to come closer JJ hehe And one of the smarter kid who was with his mother and sister was not coming closer and the moment I showed him the chocolates he was little tempted but instead of coming close he asked me to throw them towards him JJ

I was surprised to see the highway was such a pleasure to ride, few years back it was totally tractor material, the road was full of bumps n potholes J

At last the owers son came on his bike to the pump and the attendant asked me to go ahead sayin he will be coming on the enfield with him J He was scared sitting on my bike J

Once there he said it will take time to repair it. His father too came and we decided that we have to stay here tonight and we handed over the enfield to them and started planning on how are we gonna go till the hotel. I decided to go on my bike, book a room and then call pankaj to that place in a rick as there was lots of luggage with pankaj.

Hearing us planning, the owner came towards me and said we need not do all this he is sending his car with us JJ

J And that guy turned out to be a big stockist of enfield and had worked with them for 20 years. We got all the spare parts we needed, with that content smile we both left with a very lovely experience. I SIMPLY LOVE MY INDIA

                J

                    Hi Neo

I am planning for a trip in/around rajasthan. Needed few inputs from you.
                    1. In the below report u mentioned the use of caterpiller steel toed shoes. How it performed during ride? what is the cost? where can i get them? rite now i am in silvassa.
                    2. whats ur pic on baggage. Saddle bag or Backpack??
I am presently using R15, which i am going to use for this trip. Planning to take the following route.

                    Silvassa-surat-vadodara-ahemdabad-udaipur-Mt Abu-Pali-Jodhpur-Nagaur-Bikaner
& vice versa. Planning to leave augest end.

                    Please revert

JJ and then I told her about 2 Easter eggs for her in my trip 1) I shall meet and see her sister studying in Jaipur 2) I shall go and meet her parents in palanpur too. So she was happy because I rarely got much chance to go to palanpur since last 2 years.

Okay so the family granted permission and the babe was more than ready but still I had one niggling problem with the battery. Due to the inactivity since last 7-8 months the battery had died. So I changed the battery, bought a coolant in case it gives problem. Had the brakes n all the regular stuff checked. But this time I had to carry all my belongings with me unlike Hampi where my belongings were in the saddle bag on my friends Unicorn.
So still unsure how I will carry all the stuff and lots of work in office it was the second last day that I went in search of a backpack. Went to Adventure 18 at grant road and then Heera Panna,

L probably that plastic piece must be the one responsible for the trye losing grip at times. Or maybe my suspension setting that I was experimenting with since weeks.

At a Restaurant somewhere near Ahmedabad

J You know the movies have that count of how many kisses or smooches it has between a particular couple. Similarly I too thought shall keep a count of the 1st question regarding the cost of the bike. I am so sorry I lost count on the first day itself but all I know is not a SINGLE person I met left without shooting this one to me. Though I gave them proper reply all the times, but still felt like having it printed on my jacket or better tattooed on my foreheadJSubah se main hi mila tha kya ?J So I figured out and later used to give a lesser figure so all was fine.
