As once said by a very Respected Member of xBhp- Manan is a Devil in Hills. Wonder if you experienced his Devil-panti

.So it was time to stop at Manan bhai's

Oh Com'mon Aryan, I was not referring to Manan being a Devil to his co-riders, I was talking about his excellent riding, just like a Turbo kicking in after a set RPM. Guess the ill- health is taking a toll on your ability to think straight.

Aryan, no one can understand the itch I am going through. Lets see how soon I can get over this!

Dude instead of Disciplined...cautious is a better word as I was riding on hills with my new set of tyres for the very first time and have not tested the grip till then and moreover speed was to let you keep up....

Now, as this has come up here, let me give the heads up to those who might have not heard of this before like me...I met with an accident en-route to Munsiyari due to Hot-Mix road...this is the moving wet patches on the road, which changes their position as per the sun light. And this wet patch is not any normal wet patch but moist, which makes the road slippery. At one look you'll see them just like a road wet due to water, but that's a total different case when it come in contact with your tyre.

Moreover, it was also the problem of my not so good pair of tyres on which I was riding (TVS Stock tyres) which now I got replaced with IRC. I hope this will also help those who will ride to this place after me. Anyways Govt. have planted some hoardings there indicating the same, which I could not understand till the time I did not learnt it the Hard way...

                                Auli pe Holi....Sequel of Auli,Auli,Auli 2009

Well it has been in my mind for long that I have to ride to Auli once again, but was not getting time for it. It seems that destiny always wants me to ride to Auli on Holi. LAst time I did this ride with Mikhail (Mik) and it was a real fun that time too....Missed you Mik, I am sorry did not ask you, as it was a all of a sudden trip planned.

One day I met with Zyan and I asked him if he is willing to go to Auli on Holi as he has been asking for this ride for long, and within no time he said yes!. And then what we planned the ride for 27th Feb,10.

                                [B]Day 1[\B]

We met at the Dasna Toll at 4:20am (wow! such an amazing / fraud timing ). From there we started our ride, however we decided to ride easily and not crossing the speed of 75kmph. Oh man it was a difficult task for me, riding at that speed for long is something which I have never done before. However, soon I started liking that speed and got accustomed to it. We reached Gajraula at 5:30am and hour breakfast at Bhajan Restaurant and proceeded from there. We got a company over there to ride with though just for a very small distance. A chap riding his R15 with almost the same riding gear as I wear, ut his was of Yamaha (good one). And then after some distance he zoomed awa and we decided to stick to our speed and maintain the cool.

I have never ridden with Zyan for long risdes before so had to constantly keep looking in the rear view mirror for his presence on the road. He to my surprise ridden really well and with all cool of his mind. After crossing Moradabad we took the U-Turn towards Ramnagar, from where we took the root of Kashipur via Tanda-Baazpur, which took us to Nainitaal. Nainitaal in the morning time really looks amazing. But we could not afford to stop there for long hence decided to move on after a very small but relaxing break.

Leaving Nainitaal, we got on to the road for Almora. When we crossed Bhowali, we got an intersection where one way was going to Almora and the other was going to Ranikhet-Kausani. Zyan insisted to take the Ranikhet route, but I was not so convinced as I did not want to miss those amazing curves of Almora and hence convinced Zyan to take the Almora route. Which actually turned out to be the longer route but took the similar time as this route was lot easier and straight and let us enjoy the ride.

We took a small stopover en-route on the river bank to freshen up ourselves with that clean and chilled flowing water. After taking that small break we decided not to stop before Almora and that's what we did, we did not even stop in Almora and stopped almost 20 kms ahead of Almora at around 13:40hrs where we had hour lunch and met some fellow tourists of whom Zyan has already made a mention. Moving from there we moved towards Karnprayag and this time our endeavour was to stop directly at Karnprayag. Oh man! that decision seems very tiring. as it took us way long to reach to Karnprayag, due to Distance as well as Road conditions at some stretches, otherwise the road is amazingly well as per the Uttranchal.

We reached Karnprayag at around 6:00pm and took a small break to have some tea, and Zyan as ussual a Ciggerate hogger had his sutta break. for around a 15 minutes break we moved again towards Joshimath non-stop. But it seems that god wanted to take a stop before Joshimath, as I suddenly realized that it's about 7:30pm when we reached Peepalkoti and by the time we will reach Joshimath, the whole town will be empty like dead scilence. So we had our dinner here and made a move, and now this time with no breaks at all we reached Joshimath at sharp 9:00pm. We wanted to move ahead towards Auli as we got to know that Auli has got a new GMVN Guest house, but we were stopped by one local saying that we can not go up there due to lot of snow and he was right as we realized it next morning.

Now through out the ride till now the only issue that we faced was people of uttaranchal. In U.A. People celebrate Holi for 6 days (AMAZING / SHOCKING), and they don't let you pass without having color on you. Which was quite annoying sometimes, be you are in mood or not they will try to stop you. Thanks to our riding gears which resembles to one of Army, which helped us let pass through.

                                [B] DAY 2 [\B]

Next morning we got up early as we wanted to ennjoy the whole day in Auli and it's snow. We got up around 6:00am and started moving by 7:00am. We reached Auli by 8:30am. But en-route we found lot of fun and adventure as the route was full of Snow / Balck Ice / No Roads / Good roads too. I have never experienced Balck Ice before in my riding history, and it seemd that those Military vehicles appeared for our rescure from the gace of God. Now you must be wondering how come they came for our rescure, were we trapped or somebody fall, no the help was in such a way that the Army trucks pass through the way having chains wrapped around their tyres which broke the ice on the road and made a small but still not that comfortable way to ride. whcih we followed till Auli.

In our way towards Auli, Zyan went mad he asked me one question around more than 10 times, "Will we get snow up in the Auli?", and that to he asked this question everytime he sees snow on the road next to him. Well that was obivious he was sensing snow for the first time so that was his excitment towards it. Well! finally we reached Auli and now comes the rall fun walking on the snow and that to Knee deep snow. Wow that was amazing. At one glance when you see so much of snow with the bright sun light on it it feels like you are in heaven. And for the very first time I have seen sky in a different color, this time it was not Blue but somewhat Black. It was beacuse of no pollution and cristal clear environment.

We had lot of fun there and spet almost 5-6 hours in Snow. Man what an amazing experience. While we were there we had just a Tea, Maggie, Chowmean and A bottle of Bisleri, and it seems that they charge us all the money they spend for getting the stuff there. But thats fine, for that amazing experience it was fine.

And then we came back to our hotel room and changed our clothes and roamed aound in the Market of Joshimath....

                                Remaining log will come later....
