As the life was taking its own mechanical daily routine, the thoughts of taking my baby(my bike ) far away from the crowded city roads, noise and the daily routine of college, guitar and assignments. Just to explore me, understand me and to be with my 3rd love at a silent place. I was getting so desperate to get away that I started searching for the interested riders as I am a novice in long rides. As my search for fellow riders continued, on 7th March some of us made a plan to leave the city and recharge our souls with a reset our lives.

      The Plan

On 7th march, few members at the Dhaba started the conversation to decide the trip and my eyes glowed and it was instant YES from me. In the days that followed we got more confirmations and the plan was taking its shape slowly. And it was decided that all should meet and GT-Karnal bypass at 2am sharp.

      The Preparation.

It was Thursday and I was wondering what to take and what to leave behind. I filled my rucksack with pair of jeans and Shirts and was thinking what if cold plays a role their and then I thought I will do something if cold weather tries to interfere with my trip. It was a long night with no sleep. At 1am I started to get ready and took shower, As I was getting ready I got call from kunjal and he said to be quick. I tied my rucksack with help of two bungee cords and started the engine.

      The Ride:
At 0130 hours, I left home with the mum waving good bye. The empty streets were mouth watering and I could not limit my acceleration, then came the cops who said "Kid, you are over speeding". The first thought that crossed my mind was "Damn, I am already late." I somehow managed to get free from the cops and reached laxmi nagar where Kunjal was waiting for me to be a pillion . Then saaki called us and at around 0200 hours. Then all the like minded bikers who left their homes in search of a perfect world to rejuvenate ourselves and our machines met at GT-Karnal road with me and saaki's constant high speed chase. At panipat at 0330 hours, as we were sipping tea, two more bike-crazy guys joined our hands and we left for our destination. At 0645 hours we reached the point from where the roads to ambala and chandigarh divides. It was the time when Saif offered prayers for our safe ride and we adjusted ourselves for the road ahead. Then we continued our journey through nice curves and staring peoples to reach Kiratpur. It is here we took our first major break and refreshed ourselves. As we were driving on our beasts, the people around must be wondering what are these guys up to. After driving for 2hours we reached a nice place. A bridge actually, the water below was crystal clear blue and its flow was music to ears. Then we moved up and some guys with bikes tried to race with us and we slowed down to give them way. On the way we took another brake to eat parathas with butter. Then Ravi bhai's saw his bike needed some urgent attention as the tire was kissing the swing arm. Then after some tweaking with his machine we moved ahead on the route as told by Dhaba-walla and believed by us. That road was heaven, a heaven for off-road practice but as I was with pillion. It took a great effort to cross that stretch of around 40km. As soon as we crossed that road we were greeted by mighty mountains. All of us smiled and started the climb to heaven. Slowly and smoothly our machines ripped through the curves burning the edges and making the mountains delighted with our butter-smooth driving and as we admired the mountains and the valleys, It was never known where the time flowed and we reached our next stop. A small break of tea and finally my pillion kunjal shifted to ravi bhai's bike and then it was my turn to hug the curves and blaze through the mighty rocks. It was the last stop we had taken, all of us were getting excited to think what might be on the top as the beauty we were looking at were sweeping all of us. At nice pace we had covered several 100 of kilo meters and we were ready to go for many more 100s of kilo meters if required. A steady pace made us to see "Welcome To Dharamshala" and we aere delighted to see what our efforts made us to do. We were 1680 meters above the sea and our beasts were gaping for air, but they were asking for more, and we did gave them more and started climbing to our final decided destination McLeoganj. As we entered the small city. People were wondering who are we. Their stares were getting uncomfortable but who cares when there are better things to look at. the sun was setting and it was simple breath-taking. We enjoyed the sun-set and moved inside our hotel rooms and took a nice shower to get ready for the evening stroll.

      The Dream-Coming-True Day.

Finally we reached there. The place was beautiful like anything. Wherever our eyes looked at, the beauty of the place smiled at us like they are welcoming us. It was long day, 540 km on our machines but still we were like energy-packed bunch on soccer players. We roamed here and there in the market and then came back to sit in the lobby of our floor to admire the landscape of god's creation. We had some chat about eveything and then came a Pilot from US who was living at pune and was on long holiday to explore northern India. Guess what!!! that guy was bike crazy too. we had long sessions of chit-chat where we discussed almost everything. Then as the night became darker and the place goes silent we moved to our respective rooms to enjoy the place in our dreams.

Next morning we all were early birds. We discussed the day and after taking shower left our hotel to have a nice break-fast. Then he started our bike to reach Bhagsu Road. There we parked our bikes and started trekking to water-fall. It was so scenic beauty there. We all were admiring the nature and its creation (In black top ). There we spent an hour to capture the moments in our cameras and suddenly we saw a change of weather and black clouds wrapped the surroundings. We rushed to the parking and on the way we bought some gifts and some souvenirs for our specials. There Saif bhai saw a pool and jumped into it without wasting any time. St. John Church was the next stop. We all were excited as it was a very old church but we found it closed. But it never spoiled our enthusiasm to explore it. The feeling was unique there. It was an unusual calmness surrounding the church which I felt to be very deep. After a nice long adventurous day we were at a restaurant refiling our energy pouches and after some rest we were again on the streets destined to Buddhist Temple but a nice shop caught out eyes and we all stormed inside it to get nice stuffs for nice price. Then we moved towards the temple and it was my first visit to such temple. There were monks talking in their unique way by clapping. The temple was huge and we saw a nice example of Caring For Nature as we saw the trees aren't razed to set up the temple but the trees were going through the temple to the top. It was all eye catching. We left the temple to find our way to hotel lobby from where we ordered momos and dinner. That night we strolled on the streets till 2330 hours after searching for tea. Next day was return to home day and we all were just started to enjoy each others company. That night i guess no one slept. In my room, we talked till 0300hours and finally closed our eyes.

The next day was early morning wake-up. We all got up and prepared for the long ride back to home. Which i suppose no one wanted to return. We made our heart strong and started our bikes for the warm up. Then the last pics were clicked and we bid adieu to the city of peace. On the way back, we faced steep hills and dangerous curves. As we were breezing ahead we saw petrol bunk and we stopped to get a quick re-fill. We were all ready to go when saif bhai's bike developed some snag and it resisted the start. After repeated attempts ii refused and that was the time when ravi bhaiya's and kunjal's expertise played role. Finally kunjal got the spark in the engine by going down-hill. And then he vanished into thin air. That was the time when you shuld have seen saif bhai's face. He was all red and was talking in beep beep mode . After sometime kunjal re-united with us and we continued through the mountains admiring how they can be so beautiful. We were advancing and admiring, At one point we were stumped by the ice caped mountains looking at us through the clouds. We spent some time there to capture our once in a lifetime moment. It was then that we realized why mountains are so exotic. We left the place and continued till our next stop near ropar. After then we zapped through the roads and reached zhilmil dhaba near karnal and then panipat toll plaza was our stop to say good bye to saif bhai and lovish. Then we stopped after entering delhi to say good-bbye to each other and then I dropped kunjal at laxmi nagar an reached my sweet home finally.

It was mesmerizing moments with all the guys which made the trip so easy and smooth. It was all friends and all warmth. I am attaching some pics. More pics to come as abhishek bhaiya's camera is still holding up the pics . I hope you enjoy and write your views.

      Smiles,
      Shaan

more pics will come very very soon.

Haahaa very true, actually it was like that when Ravi bhaiya said "Its CDI got shorted". and then Kunjal said it costs Rs3000 .I was like God help me,but then Kunjal made a smile to my face by saying that Karizma's CDI hardly got short and finally the telecom engineer and our very own Karizmatic Ravi bhai turned into automobile engineer and here my bike wrooming in hills again. Can't tell you how much happy i was at that time.

                                DAY: 2
as it was pre-decided....day: 2 is for less riding and more of sight seeing in and around mcleodganj.
                                that's why everyone was relaxed

...no hurries to get up early.
the day started with tea cups and ater bathing and all done it was the time to fill our tummies, paranthas with butter.
                                yummy paranthas

our head savers according to the experience
and after having done all that we started our bikes just after few metres saaki bro saw his r15's rear tyres were flat and he shifted to my bike as a pillion but my old friend couldnt even move after that much load so he has to come there on his on...finally somehow we both managed to reach the parking area where all others were waiting for us,
                                our machines parked..

                                and then
the trekking starts to the beautiful waterfalls...
                                "X" in the hills

we all enjoyed taking some nice photographs here and there..
                                macros

and then spend some nice time at the waterfalls (clicking photographs of...).
                                xbhpians at the waterfalls

                                the message

                                beauty

then we started trekking down to the parking area where on the way saif bro wished to and did swimming in the pool...and after shopping we picked our bikes
line up at the parking area

and went straight to the church...
                                line up at the church

                                "X"

                                the church

                                the side view

                                one more

though the place seems a bit scary and like the horror movie places but it was a nice place to capture....then
                                decided to fill our tummies
                                at the hotel

                                and after a photography session

                                saaki bhai

and wandering here and there in the market went
to our hotel rooms...took some rest and as we have to leave that beautiful place the next morning we again started exploring the local market
                                and saw this also

and after a girl said to saif bro.."YEH BAHUT K*****A HAI" (when he was asking for a discount)...then we went to the very charming buddhist temple at mcleodganj...
where the monks were meditating and others
were trying to break their concentration.

                                prayer wheels
and as we all knew that on the following day we had to get up early so as to reach our places on time we decided to move on to our hotel rooms after a long walk..
                                and we saw this
                                (our shadows)

some more shots from our hotel

                                2.

but as we all were in our rooms trying to sleep saif bro said..."MAN ITS OUR LAST DAY TOGETHER SO......LETS HAVE A CHAT"
and that chat went on till 0300...shaan was in his dreams so we both also tried and then...

                                to be continued...
