Mumbai folks have mirrored the plan, so would head to Srinagar via Amritsar (Sensible I say!)
And Pune guys going through original-backup route (via Pathankot)
Pune Guys reach Leh on Friday

just got a call from rishab.he's in jallander.
they could not complete Kla due to really bad weather.Also reached max upto 16000 feet.
all the plans got fked up as nothing was covered.
on top of that one of the guys lost a digit of his finger lubing the chain
they just got him attended at hospital & commencing the return journey .

the journey can be done anytime..!! they must have put-in so much of efforts..! Sad..! they have not gone above 16000 feets, it means none of the three highest motorable roads they did.. The weather seems to be seriously bad..!!

Spoke to Vishwas and Inder,
Pune guys are heading to Pathankot as per schedule. They are at Ambala and the heat is taking toll on them!
Tried convincing SpyD to stick to plan B and cover Amritsar on thier way back via Manali-Jalandhar-Amritsar. (You could also head to Rajasthan from there on the way back to bypass delhi!)

A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.
Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.
