@Spiderweb: Why do you ride to Manali/ Rohtang via Shimla? Instead, you could directly ride to Manali and stay there for the night. That ways, it won't only save you time but also a lot of energy too!

      Direct to Manali from where?

BTW: I wanted a different thread as the plans & people are final AND this thread was made to recruit people for the ride & the purpose is accomplished.

Thanks, now we got a spare day to rest & service the bikes.

Hopefully we can do a g2g on that day, so we can meet you all.

To goto Zanskar, you don't need to go to Drass, the road goes from Kargil itself. Yes, if you want, you can come out at Drass but then you will miss Kargil - Drass section.

Distance = 130km's? At what point you guys plan to turn back? Rangdum? That will still be in Suru Valley and not Zanskar. Kargil - Zanskar(Padum) - Kargil, in a day? Good luck.

Spider, I don't know much about the routes in the north but still after reading so many Leh logs, the plan seems perfect. Besides you definitely must have done some research on your own. So it has to be good. Thanks for adding my name as well. But hey remember what I had said in the other thread. I am still 50/50 with the ride. Can't say anything till the very last minute. If I come then definitely will follow your plan and the group you have put me in. If unfortunately I don't make it this year then everything else remains the same for you people except one name less in the rippers list

But with the dates in front of me it becomes a lill easier for me to start planning my work so that I join you people for the ride. I'll try my best to come.. it's a promise

                          Thanks!

Same dates, we start as a one group, we'll be staying at same places too, we'll divide automatically, its just that I divided so atleast 6 people wont get late with the schedule coz of another group if something like a puncture happens...

Thats why I kept it optional, if we have the energy & the roads are good, we'll go for it
