lol your writing is creatively sarcastic enoughOriginally posted by trustvishwas View PostThanks rachit. Surely will try to get a thread up but I suck at creative writing so no one will read it.
Now can you please enlighten why everyone shouldn't have enough fuel in own bike?
I agree on the fuel front... they said they wanted to go to some place and all... so I will let them answer.
How I wish, they were God, they could have blown the snowstorm away, peed in the fuel tank and rode the bike back home.

Get some rest specially your legs
It was really nice meeting you and you taking off so much time to help us out. Sorry that you couldn't stay longer yesterday. Legs are much better now and can try walking without attracting too much attention.
@ all - Me and Inder were walking like we had childhood polio resulting out of walking down all the steps of Vaishnodevi temple. It is 12 km distance and we took steps for all the area so by the time we got down, we had lost most of the control of leg muscles.

What happened to your bed in your office? Someone stole it?Originally posted by inder.cool View Post
We all reached back to pune at 3 in the morning..!! Got to office in the morning..and now at office..
No bed in office..
feeling very sleepy now..
That was basically due to the harsh weather conditions we faced at Chang La and Khardung La..
Nothing of that sorts...dont OVER-EXAGGERATE things around..
I absolutely accept that the weather conditions were very harsh in Chang La but you took the decision of not going to nubra even before going to Khardungla.
Sorry for OVER - EXAGGERATING things. I meant mud and not something else you thought.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Abe ekdum thik hai vo..nakhre mat kar..Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostINDER: I dont want the rain gear back, please pay me and I will buy a new one!
I spoke to Hydro abt it and was to buy it that evening..!! But, in the evening was stuck up with some of the clothes shopping..so couldn't find time for it..Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostVishwas: I know, and hence the point.... He actually fibbed me and hydro that he was taking tubes and all. Infact he went on to say that he is carrying two tubes each to Hydro!
luckily for me that the bike was standing for 2 whole days in Leh bcoz of which i could identify the rim-bend(coz the air had leaked in those 2 days) and get that rectified otherwise if i would have been riding and it would have been a big problem then..!
Kya baat!! Kya baat!!Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostI spoke to Alankar last evening... what happened was a comedy of errors, they met two more guys from Mumbai who were on smaller bikes, and one of them got a puncture.... in trying to help them, they went ahead to try and get a tube for HH Passion. One camp after the other and they couldnt find any help. Then came a snow storm which made it very difficult to go ahead, hence they had to stay back. They tried venturing out, but that only lead to BRO sending a scout team to search for them. Luckilly all met in time.
They had got enough fuel on motors bike and hence were sure that in worst case they will leech from him. But motor also had a puncture and a spill which lead to a lot of fuel loss. So all in all, the weather did them good.
Such things too happened..!!
Thanks Ankit..Originally posted by ankit63 View PostWelcome guys! Welcome to Pune Vishwas and Inder

Please don't head on Leh - Manali. It is closed beyond sarchu.Originally posted by MotorBreath! View PostSTILL IN LEH .. it's been around 8 days now.. covered almost all the places, gonna start for Manali tomorrow @ 5.. having a LEH'D back ride literally..
You'll find me somewhere on the roadOriginally posted by nav75 View PostBack? I'm in Pune, sitting comfortably in my office.
The reason I didn't waste any time in Leh was that, the places I wanted to visit, either the road was closed or would need me to spend extra time taking the longer route.
PS: I'm not going there in Aug but the plan is for Sep. Coming along?
It was nice spending an evening with Pune guys @ Drass. Next day morning crossed the Mumbai ppl in Ziji la.
Good to meet you at Ktop!Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostExtremely sorry for this long winded reply earlier but was actually trying to vent out for last 15 day backlog. Nice to be back.

Great news about biru & shadowboy..!!
Am worried now for spidy & gang as they have headed towards Manali.. if the pass is closed, they might probably waste days again here living in tents & without network.. Away from civilization.. God bless them & get them back home safely..

Hey Kurt.... thanks for that little lift in Hunder!
All these tales may sound dramatic and surely make up for an interesting read, but I wouldn't want to be a part of them. That was the reason I detached myself from the Mumbai gang, joined the Pune group, did some solo stuff, completed the tour, and was back with a day to spare. Nothing wrong in being efficient.
Now I feel they're again trying to be God by taking the Manali route... no wonder they'll get more viewership! But I chose between nature and sanity, and I'm back home safe and fit.| Judging a bike by a cubic capacity yardstick is like judging a female by her bra size |

Yes I am pretty mad about a lot of things especially if someone tries to project lack of preparation as an event out of their control. As you would agree, riding in mountains is fun if you are really prepared for it and hell if you are not.Originally posted by kurtrules View Post

+1 to aman. This is why we got together and stuck together till the end. We finished all the planned locations in set time. One MAJOR reason was riding was more important than other things. We started around 6 am every morning so could finish the day's ride with ample sunlight remaining and then enjoy and Aman would be ready even before we thought of getting out of bed. May be because he slept with all his clothes and gear on.Originally posted by aman_pulsating View PostHey Kurt.... thanks for that little lift in Hunder!

^^ Right said Fred..
following the time is very important on trip with high schedule like this..!!
if u dont start on time, may end up messing days..!! hence hampering the entire journey which may be done once in lifetime..!
