DAY 1 - 4 June 2010
MUMBAI-DELHI (VIA AUG KR EXPRESS)

4 June 2010,First day of our quest to LEH.With all excitement and enthusiasm i started from my place at 11:00 AM.The ride started with a surprise that..And the news was "Shadow's(Ashish) bike Insurance was expired and he realised it just now.But somehow he managed to get an insurance in an hour from Oriental Bank of Commerce.So i will agree on the fact that "Good things happen to good people"
So the redezevous point was Hinduja Hospital.I reached there at 12:12 PM.Shadow took some time and made an entry at 12:50.

Later we met Ketan,and together we started for CST station.We encountered some very bad traffic JAM on our way to the station.After 1 hour of struggle we reached CST station,I went to he parcel office to enquire about the packing,loading and builty charges.While i was enquiring about all these things,an question striked my mind and i asked the agent "What time our train AUG KR EXPRESS is leaving from CST Station".He replied "Sir,Kidhar ho aap !!..ye train Mumbai Central se jayegi..Par aap kaho toh apki bike pack karwa ke yahi se bhijwa du..Thoda jaldi batao..dhande kaa time he".
Oh Crap !!..I was biting my nails,and sweating in tension and laughing at my stupidity.So many emotions at a time,I will call it "Failing to get LEH'ed effect".But we had time in hand,i conveyed the message to Ketan and Shadow.i should have taken a picture of their faces.We cross-checked the ticket and yes it was Mumbai Central.Without wasting time we headed towards Mumbai Central.

Journey till BCT was a matter of 20 mins.
Now main struggle starts from here.Bargaining with the agents for packing,loading..and getting the builty for the bikes from the govt officials.

With little bit of bargain,we agreed to pay 800 Rs for the Packing and loading.That's was not all,another issue popped up.Rajdhani express has only Brake Van,and no parcel van.That means You can only load one bike on the brake van.What to do now ??.Agent came to me with some options and we finally ldecided to send our bikes from the Golden temple.Whichleaves at 21:40 Pm and reaches Delhi at 17:30 on the other day.So with heavy heart we let our baby bikes come alone in other train.
Builty cost was around 1200 approx for one bike.The key thingwhile booking a bike via train is,always mention the bike's current price as low as you can.We showed it as 10,000.

We left our bike with agents,after all the paper work done.Confirmed with the agent at 10:00 PM,yes they loaded the bike sucessfully,safely.Got some relief.

And yeah,first time in my entire life..encountered,expirienced and lived a royal treatment in an Indian Railway Train.Evening Breakfast..Sandwitch,Gulabjamun,Kachori..Tasty Tomato Soup with bread sticks and cheese..and finally to end this wonderful day an Chicken Meal.
11:00 PM and its bed time as we have a big day ahead.


Note:- Carrying Lubes Is Strictly Not Allowed in the trains.If you are found carrying it then you will be fined for 5000 rs and sentenced to jail for 3 months.Somehow we managed to get out of it with minimal damage(just the lube )

Then that must have happend at Mumbai Central station. The cops can frisk anyone who looks suspicious... I guess Chavv Ladka got you in mess.... HARD LUCK!

How did you get out? These are important for us just in case we face it sometime.Also share how did you show the Bike value as 10K only. Were the people so fool that they assumed a 100K bike as 10 K .Coz R15 shows they are costly bikes.
