    me leaving for the 1100km delhi-shimla-rohru-hatkoti-mussorrie-dhanaulti-delhi trip in a couple of days or so with dr arun , the zx12r guy.. n may be one of his frenz
    doc is really experience , he has been going for such long trips twice a yr for the past many many yrs on his bullet/modded rx135
    doc will be carryin basic tools plus a foot pump too
    i will be carryin the spare tubes and also stuff like :
    spare clutch cable
    spare acc cable
    spare spark plug
    chain link/lock

    rest i know my zma will easily come thru the whole journey,anyways am i missin nething?
    also credit cards r considered plastic in the places we r going to.. so i wil be puttin a spare 500 note under the bike seat,taped under the seat,jus in case.. u never know he he he

    i read all d posts here,were of gr8 help.. thx to all
    here is my list :
    torch
    match sticks n a candle
    medicines
    pen-paper
    hooka wire
    bike manual
    maps and tape
    imp phone nos
    usual cosmetics n sun cream (!!) and sunglasses
    gloves n muffler
    first aid kit
    rags (cloth for cleanin bike)
    a big chain plus a big lock plus some rope
    usual clothing incl leather jacket and sturdy boots
    tools and above mentioned spare parts plus foot pump

    i think thats enuf..
    this is my 1st real long bike journey and that too into lesser explored areas of himachal..
    but i hv faith in my zma baby.. she wont disappoint me i know

      hey bunny the trip sounds exciting & u seem to have all the necessary things.. hey just a suggestion u can get a mod done which iam also considering after i saw octane & koolsun's bike, they have their seat lowered, cusioned & broadened for more comfort & they say its a breeze now on log rides.. my suggection wud be if u can then get a new seat & get it modified coz thats wht iam planin to do

      also did u considered getting ur tyre filed with puncture protection liquid thoiam not sure how good they are..

      all the best for the journey we'll be waiting for a nice long triplog with pics

                    there is this company called NEST&WINGS..they provide awesome maps with distances and the best possible routes and info on hotels n pumps etc.. we used their map for our delhi-shimla-mussoorie trip.they also hv a website www.nestwing.com

                              while riding in real hot conditions, put one end of a good towel on ur head,put on the helmet and tie the remaining towel around ur neck. good way to avoid heat-stroke. dis is wat i did while doing dehradun-delhi in june! also wear full sleeves , tie a cloth around ur mouth to avoid sun-burns.
                              note: if ur helmet is tight , dont do this , it may block blood circulation

                                NIce ones Bunny! guys try to use a windcheater as a definite protection against insects and mosquitos while drivin on highways.
