    Updates on Road Conditions: Rajasthan and Gujarat

    Travelled through rajasthan and gujrat in gujrat road conditions are awsome sadly only 42 kms patch between vadodara to Halol is patchy and bit degraded
    Rajasthan in particular udaipur Jaipur highway is very good
    Nh8 leading to udaipur from shamalji is work in progress
    Udaipur - chittaurgarh road is also patchy
    Travelled on 7th to 13th February

          That was a detailed log .Thank you so much.And yes i will have a night/day halt at Thane.
          The plan is to ride all the way to thane with a stop at temple in KA, reach Thane and rendezvous with a couple of cagie's from there.

              I recently traveled from Pushkar to Jodhpur, and even though the manager of the hotel which we have booked told us to take the Bewar route, which we didn't and followed the Merta route. A horrible road where we crossed 100 km in 3 hours. Though the best thing about this trip was the view of the stars, there were like millions. Can't see such view in any urban city.

              Also traveled from Jaisalmer for a holiday to Sam (NH 53) to stay in a Jaisalmer Desert Camp (suggested ones are Rajputana Desert Camp and Dangri desert Safari Camp), and Jaisalmer to Khuri. The Sam sand dune road is perfect as its maintained by the BSF, but can't say the same for Khuri, where road was in terrible condition.

              And would also like to add that the Delhi Jaipur highway, one of the most busy route, is in pretty bad condition near Behror. So, driving late night from this part of the state would require some extra caution.

                Travelled to udaipur from Jaipur via Quila Kumbhalgarh and return via Naathdwara. Perfect road. Though the NH8 is having patchworks. So you can not do speeds above 80-90 in night. The road from Gaumti chauraha to Quila Kumbhalgarh and further to udaipur via gogunda is just delight to eye.

                  13.10.2016: Avoid reaching Delhi post 6 pm on weekdays. Construction work around Manesar, Hero Honda Chowk leading to a heavy traffic jam. Behror and Manesar toll for car drivers will be a nightmare.

                  Roads from Delhi right upto MH-GJ border are super awesome.
                  The best things in life are realized on two wheels!

                    Did Jaipur-Agra. Perfect road. Though road is bad for 10 km right before you enter Agra.

                      Did Bharuch to Udaipur via Vadodra-Halol-Dahod-Modasa-Shamlaji-Udaipur.

                          Did Ahmedabad - Bhavnagar - Alang - Gopnath - Mahuva - Bhavnagar - Ahmedabad .

                          Ahmedbad - Bhavanagar via Bagodara - Dholera : The roads are pretty good except a small patch after dholera, where some work is on progress. Had 2 small diversions and a bit of bumps and potholes.

                          Bhavnagar - Alang: The roads are good, a bit unsurfaced road at some places. The road inside alang is quite bad possibly due to heavy load trucks going in and out.

                          Alang - Gopnath : Main highways are great, but a 20 km stretch through small villages were bit unsurfaced with lots of small potholes.

                          Gopnath - Mahuva: was good highway and so was Mahuva - Bhavnagar.
