3 days! Just 3 days, you will be riding mostly, not seeing anything!Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Madhuri is an interesting place, that is if you are into ancient architecture or religion.
If you are into nature, Point Calimere is one place I would recommend.
Here's a route I followed a few years ago https://lokeshshah.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/map.png

If your travel plan includes both Kanyakumari as well as Rameshwaram and you have only three days in hand, i strongly suggest you replan and visit only one place (i.e. either Kanyakumari or Rameshwaram). For visiting both these places, a minimum of 5 days are required.I Ride to Forget the World, and Sometimes I Ride to Forget Who I AM.

Re: Route for Bangalore-Kanyakumari-Rameshwaram-Bangalore
BLR-Rameshwaram itself will take a days ride..And we need one day to cover the whole place including Dhanushkodi. Kanyakumari is another 300 KM through ECR and takes 4.5-5 hrs .You can make it since there is nothing much to see in kanyakumari except sunset/Sunrise but then you will have to return back to Bangalore same day which is around 750 KM additional.Better skip kanyakumari and explore Rameshwaram and Dhanushkodi. It's better in the WINDS>

Re: Route for Bangalore-Kanyakumari-Rameshwaram-Bangalore
if you start from bangalore early morning, you can easily make it to the rameshwaram by afternoon itself. i would suggest you cross pamban and head towards rameshwaram to look for your accomodation. couple of options are available near the temple itself (including the TTDC hotel which is by the beach). staying at the TTDC would be the best option, else you can look elsewhere as well. you might need to book TTDC well before (maybe can give a call today and check if they have accommodations available). dumping your luggage, you can head back to the pamban bridge to see the beautiful sunset from the bridge. i guess there is one 4:30pm train as well which would be passing through (if you can make it in time, it is an added beauty!). the next day you can head towards dhanushkodi (i believe the road is laid all the way till the ghost town). there are couple of places on the way to dhanushkodi (sri rama temple would fall on your left side where a road cuts through waters on both sides, a treat to ride on the small stretch itself), and then the dhanushkodi town so i think you would be free only after lunch to finish visiting these two places. post lunch and when you are back to rameshwaram, you can go visit the lighthouse and the laxman temple, beside the tv tower. from above the temple, you would get a good view of the city so it is a treat to watch as well. the start of day 3 can be done by visiting agee teertham early in the morning during sunrise and a visit to the rameshwaram temple. you can bid goodbye to rameshwaram before lunch and can be in bangalore well before night on day 3. hope this helps.Originally posted by msuthar25 View PostYes, guess will change the plan. Route for Bangalore-Kanyakumari-Rameshwaram-Bangalore
Bikes are not allowed inside wild life sanctuary & point calimere is inside the sanctuary. But as of now I live in Muthupettai so went back home & went to point calimere in car.Originally posted by dichkaun View PostMadhuri is an interesting place, that is if you are into ancient architecture or religion.

And old light house too inside sanctuary inside sanctuary you could see wild horses, and seers. I saw only two of different kind Cz they are hiding in bushes due to summer.
On way to Kodiakarai (point calimere) there's Lord ramas foot print but beware of monkey thieves they torn stickers in my car
Try negotiating with the govt officer anyway. Worth the visit
Added many photos to foursquare.

However area near new light house too awesome. You could go for boat ride inside sea
Here are some pics

Am staying in this area (Muthupet) for past 3 months and almost covered all the nearby places.
There's place called Manora south of my place. Sea is shallow but slush. Not so great.

But 10km south of Manora found a little proper sandy beach. I added it on google maps under name palm beach
Not much of a attraction but silent place

And in Muthupettai there's a place called alayathi Kaadugal/ Muthupet lagoon. Didn't went for boat ride tho.
People say you ll feel like you are 10km inside sea with water on all sides but water is just hip or knee deep.
this is where you need to hire boat.

And went to velankanni. There's an Easter egg in velankanni. If you drive 4km on beach sand (left side when facing sea) you could see a shipwreck. Added this too in foursquare.
It was one hell of a ride. In return I rode in motocross style.

Am closing my project & ll be in Muthupet for another 15 days. Contact me if you need any assistance nearby
