SIRAC is also used as a Front tyre, but by no means is meant only for Front use. It has a robust casing construction and is intended for best use at rear position for heavy bikes around 600cc +

        • Pirelli SD 110/90-18 is a dual purpose tyre? I'm looking for Tubeless options for my upcoming Spiti ride.

Rear would be 120' Michelin Sirac.

            • I m having michelin M45 4.00- 18" as my rear tyre for my RTR160.
now i m looking to replace the front tyres too as it has run around 23k kms and also planning for a long ride to the hills next weekend. Which one is best suited for that? i was looking at the FZ/R15 front 90/90-17" ones but the price they are quoting for this is unbelievably high(more than 2000), even my M45 costed less than 2k. Is it the same across all places? what other options are left for me?
is there anything wrong in using tubed rear tyre and tubeless front tyres . please suggest asap.

32-35 psi at rear tyre is optimum, no probs there but what ever be the pressure it should not come down by 20 psi just in 10 hours. Check for punctures in the tyre dude.

Since its new tyre and its so solid enough... though i rule out there is no puncture but i have a suspect in the form of the mouth... i think the air is escaping from the mouth , same said by many mechs in my area....

P.S. I was surprised to find a vertigo in apache... its becoming a rage here now for it (apart mich,pire,etc)... ceat cashing on well due to high demand and low production of zappers...

                      • Guys.. Doubt.

Why are some tyre sizes designated like 2.75X17 while others are like 90/90 X 17. I know the later method of designation, but how does the first one work..? Does 2.75 show tyre width in inches..?

Yes you are right the 2.75 refers to Inches while the 90/90-17 refers to mm's

For eg 2.75x18 - refers to 2.75 Inch width & height on 18" Rim
                          90/90 - 17 - refers to 90mm wide & 90% of 90mm ( 81mm) height on 17"rim

                          Hope this helps understand better

We got it for 1700 INR And, another dealer (he was my friend's friend's friend) quoted 1500 INR for the same but he didn't has the front one which we wanted.

EDIT: Just went through the poll results and what hit my mind at the very first moment is "who the hell would have voted for TVS tyres

P.S. I, myself, be an Apache owner with stock tyres. So, don't take it an offence to the brand. Just my own opinion and thoughts
