    Hi Rahul,
thanks a lot for the suggestion.
i want the best grip both in dry and wet tarmac. so i guess soft compound will help? longevity is not at all a problem. if it lasts 15K KMS, i am fine. but grip is what i require. i am very afraid to drive in the stock tyres.
one more question is will the 100/80 17" tyre fit in my Yamaha SZR bike.do you know anybody who has done this.is it too wide or its less wider than 100/90 17" stock tyre?
i am not sure of all these technical terms as this is my first bike. so little confused by all these measurements.
but going through the tyre manufacturer websites i have figured out three tyre makers. MRF, Michelin & Pirelli have good tyres. so can you suggest which among all these is best and what will be the cost for all (approx). though you stay in kolkatta but still i will have a price in mind before approaching the dealers in bangalore.

it will fit...no issues... Its a low profile tire... It will look good... No mods required... If you dont mind about tire life this should be the best. It will easily last 15k... Its the best value for money tire available...its very cheap.... No need for pirellis...
      Dry ho ya wet,

Could you please chip in with your suggestions - I need opinions on 2.75x18 front and 3.00x18 rear tyres please.
From what I know, I shall choose from the following options:
        Michelin M45 front and rear
        OR
MRF Zapper FS front and Zapper Q or C for the rear.
        What do you think?
Firstly , those are not the stock tyre sizes for RX100 . OE was 2.75x18 on rear and 2.5x18 front .
Anyway , Michelin M45 is no longer available in shops ..

Zapper FS 2.75x18 is good for front . Zapper C 3.00x18 is good for rear . Zapper Q doesn't come in 3.00x18 size , the nearest being 90/90x18 , you've to find out if that shall fit .

My personal suggestion from riding the RX would be -
front - MRF Nylogrip RIB or Zapper-FV
        rear - MRF MOTO-C or Nylogrip-Plus

thanks a lot for the reply.
i stay in Ramamurthy nagar, Bangalore.
can you please send me the dealer details and any idea for the price of the tryes you have mentioned.
Also i want to go for the Tubeless tyres for my Bike (IF budget is within 5k and its feasible for my bike ? will the tubeless tyres fit on to my bike and do i need to change the RIM to put tubeless tyres?
Well i donot have much idea about that part of bangalore. Why dont you try the dealer locator on the websites of the tyre companies?? Here's the one for michelin. Authorised Michelin Dealers - Tyre Dealers Delhi/Bangalore/Chennai/Hyderabad/Pune/Mumbai/Kolkata - www.michelin.in

Guess you can use justdial.com for MRF.

No you dont need to change your rim to put tubeless. In your budget both MRF & michelin can be bought. Both are equally good tyres. Its completely your choice.

              • Tyre upgrade in Pulsar 200NS

@ MG ,Payeng and others from pune....
if i decide to change my P200NS tyres to Pirelli Sports Demon, are there any dealers in pune who will give me discount on them in exchange of my new NS tyres? I am thinking to get them exchanged as soon as i get delivery of my bike.

If yes, please share the details of the dealers and also price of Pirelli Sports Demon(front and rear) and how much discount can i expect in exchange of these Eurogrip tyres?

Also today i enquired with few tyre dealers at Pune. Most of them don't have stock of Pirelli Sports Demon ( due to some ISI mark issue, import is stopped in India it seems) and the one which have old stocks is asking for 3800/- for rear and 2800/- for front..... also they are giving me very less discount for brand new NS tyres which is 1500/- for rear and 1000/- for front..
Can somebody confirm the prices for Pirelli SD???

Or any other better options (with prices) in 110/80 and 130/70???

                    50 Chowringhee Road
                    Opp: Birla Planetarium, Kolkata

Afaik zapper c 3.00*18 and 100/80*17 are tube type

                        120*80 17 is a tubeless.

Whichever tyre you buy,if it is a tubeless then it will be clearly marked on the side walls...

                            • Hello guys,

Does anyone know who is the manufacturer of Pulsar NS 200's tyres. I am looking for a replacement for my Apache RTR 180's rear tyre urgently after last night's skid. I was with a pillion and just applied the read brake slightly on a wet road. It skid like hell.

I have three tyres in my list :

                              a) MRF Zapper C - 120/80-17" which comes on P220

                              b) R15 v1.0 rear tyre - 100/80-17"

                              c) Pulsar NS 200's rear tyre - 130/70-17"

I don't know the manufacturer of (c). I know (b) is a really good tyre but am looking for other two since (b) would be really thin and would destroy the looks. But if i dont get the others, i'll go for (b).

What do you guys suggest ?
