  • Tyre change for 220 & 200ns

Guys, my 220 needs a tyre change, has done 22k on stock IRCs.

Advice which brand to opt, budget not a restrain - looking for a 130 section rear and should fit without any major mods.

Also, can I fit stock EUROGRIPs of 200NS to 220, this way I can get a new set for my 200ns as well - advice me which one to go for 200NS as well if I can change EUROGRIPS to 220.
You must be the change you wish to see in the world

it will give negative speedo reading...no problem with handling in straights but you will loose highly on cornering grip... Instead try r15 v2 front. Thats better fit for rtr but negative speedo will still be there
@thunderbird: fit the eurogrips from the ns to the 220 and get pirelli sports demons for the ns if budget is not a problem... Btw the eurogrips of the ns will look much wider on 220 because of wider rim
@hawk: you sure bout the front 90/90 michelin pilot sporty? AFAIK its a rear tire and not a front one... Check the tire sidewall...should be written...
@amit- go for the zapper vyde for your rtr on leh trip and install slime inside the tire...that will seal the tire even if it punctures....better have 1-2 punctures on a soft compound tyre than having a fall on a hard compound...

Thats absolutely true. Soft compound saves life, and hard compound saves punctures.
So its up to every one to decide which one to go for.

        • Hello all,

I have a small doubt in regards to alloys.

Does air pressure affect the alloy wheel in getting cracked or bent in a pothole at several speeds?

I know that you need to precisely keep the requested air pressure in the tires or is it due to poorly or low quality alloys?

N250R has 130/70/17 rite? Why you are opting for a bigger section tyre? Also PSD 140/70/17 is not available now in most places. Heard coz there's no ISI mark that model has been stopped. Someone posted in FB group its available in Ahmadabad(don't know exactly). You can get 110 and 130 section in PSD now which is the correct config for N250R. Better stick with the stock size.

Hey binoy I already have a 150 section IRC Road Winner on it. Going for 140 section as the IRC's are just too big for the bike. Can you help me, just incase to get a 140 or even a 130 in PSD?

ya 150 will be too much for the bike. As I said before PSD 140 is not available anywhere in Kerala and Bangalore. I will let you know if I get any info about the availability in Ahmadabad. As for 130 I think its available in Bangalore. I will PM you one person's number which you can contact. Never mind to bargain as its Bangalore.

I have to change both tires of my P220 DTSi. I stay in bangalore and it provides all sort of riding conditions.rain, sand, gravels, potholes and offroading also all in city riding
So breaking, mileage and safety is my biggest concern.I was thinking to get Michelin sirac or Pirelli SD for rear tyre.which one should I go for.Any better option? what would be good for front tyre.
PLease suggest a gud dealer where I can get a fair price.any estimate on pricing for both
                          thanks

Getting Sirrac 120 is a tough job...
Try others like u will get Continental tires, then ceat vertigo.
The best is sirac, and the then continental and then vertigo.
                            All are button tires.

The type of grip that you are looking for is a a button tire.
So just do a search sirrac, if you get it then good other wise ..

And for front, stick to the original MRF tires. Other tires will make the handle heavy. The original ones gives a lot of good grip.
