  • Re: Tyres

No... please dont upsize to 150 in the rear the cons will outweigh the pros.
Go for the mrf revs 130 in the rear the r15 v2 stock tyre its very soft compound
Andfor the front 110 will not hamper performance much but I possible stick to stock sizes.

I have finally fitted the Ceat Vertigo Tubeless tyres on my bike. 100/90 17" front & 120/80 17" rear. The bike feels, and actually is, slightly higher now since i was running on 100/80 front earlier. I had to remove the front mudguard though as the tyre was scraping it slightly. So far the grip off road has been a huge difference, especially up front, as now i can corner with much confidence that the tyre inspires. I was a little sceptical about its performance on-road but it is actually pretty good too. I went for a long ride the other day and was actually surprised that i could take corners at high speeds without the bike getting unsettled. Will have to see how it performs on wet roads though. Thanks for the advice and suggestions guys, especially Adarsh and Forcedge. Ride safe.

        Hey
Few days back I asked about tires for my Pulsar 180 cc

        120/80 17 inch and
        90/90 17 front.

Now I have few choices for rear like MRF zapper Q-Rs 2800,Michelin Pilot Sporty - RS 2950
and For front MRF ZAPPER FS - Rs1800

1 more option is to upgrade tyre size for Michellin Pilot Street Radial 130/70 R17 Front 110/70 R17

Please let me know what to go for I really want good tyres and no compromise on Braking and Cornering..City ride mostly

          Hello Guys,
I am planning to change the tires of my P220 to
          Rear : Zapper Vyde 120/80
          Front : Zapper FY1 90/80 (R15 v2 tire)

Now, will the 90/80 front tire affect performance in any way as its a shorter profile than the stock's 90/90, and since the rolling resistance would be more, would it shorten the gearing and cause speedo errors as well?
It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

            Hey Sal,

I am also looking for change in My 180 cc .If you can find IRC and Pirelli they are the best. Not able to find them in Bangalore :-(
The tyres you mentioned are good enough to run 15-20k on normal condition.

For your second Part not so sure though but I it would reduce ur speed and can affect ur mileage but not to a great extent.
Please do let me know which tyres have you fitted.

Choosing tyres between mrf revz s, mrf revz c and dunlop tuffgrip for pulsar 200ns. My priorities are excellent cornering stability and handling. Please help out. I have the revz c in my mind. What do you guys think?

Any thoughts , which one do you think i should get for the front tyre?
I'm thinking mrf nylogrip zapper fx, that is fz's front tyre.
                  Help me out again please.

                    Hey buddy,
Fz's front tyre is an excellent tyre...
Try getting the r15 v2 front tyre,...
90/17 a little thinner than your stock tyre but it will make up for it with the softer compound and high grip levels....
You cant go wrong with both of them
Check price and availability and choose,
And sice you have invested in good tyres it would be safe to get a anti puncture gel or liquid too,... its cheap and worth it,

                    divyansh....

                        If it were my bike...
                        I wouldn't do it

Pilot sporty isn't good anymore. Please stay away. TVS has killed the tyre. Using it for 5k kms. You will be fish tailing in even a wet patch.

If it was me I would go for the vyde without second thoughts. Almost the price of pilot sporty but lasts 20k kms. No idea about the Street sirac. I guess tvs would have made the tyre a crap too

                                Im using a sirac street.
                                Its quite good.
Dry roads grip is very good.
                                Its cheap
And wet water grip is cery good too.
Its medium compound and lasts ok ish.
But its a very good tyre.
Sand makes it a little uneasy.
                                Thats it.
Keep pressure around 35 to 36 and its happy
The only tyre I think that tvs did not f.... up
