Ceat grip is a very weird (in a fantastically good way) tyre,
The blocks just wear out from the middle! Because they are quite soft, pick one up and try bendin the tread it will be so easy!

If the blocks wears out from the centre than it's a good sign as that indicates tire is gripping like elfy and hence wearing from the centre, one thing which is quite weird is that even after having such good compound or soft compound tires ceat is still underrated and under performing company, although it's ranking is second to mrf atleast in 2wheeler tires(if iam correct) and even with harder compound tires with limited grippp Mrf is no one, why is it so.

Brad value that mrf has built up,
We all know most (sorry if it hurts anyone) motul oils are better than castrols, plus no fakes, yet you ask any noobish guy or an incompetent mech. Which is the best oil for bike?
        "Saar kastrol daaliye!"
        Similarly

Someone please suggest which stock tyres yezdis came with? A friend wants to restore one to "stock" condition and I mean "stock"!

          ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

I think yezdi rides on 16" wheels and monarch has 18" rims front and back.
          Rims - 1.85 x 16"
          Tires - 3.25 x 16"

          Ceat Secura sport 3.25 x 16" rear
          Ceat Secura F67 3.25 x 16" front.

Guy, I have a Duke 200 and for the past few months, I have been riding a lot on mud/slush and gravel.

I have decided to change my tyres, probably will go for the Ceat Vertigo Sport for the rear, but need suggestions for the front. I am leaning towards the Michelin Siracs, any other suggestions?

            TIA
            Keep Calm and Continue Riding!

Michelins are not what thy used to be
Unfortunately your stock tyres are really very good and comparatively softer compounds to any ceat vertigo or michelin sirac. That being said, its the tread pattern or lack of pattern I should say on your tyres (read like slicks) that give away in gravel and slush. You will be seriously compromising on tarmac grip if you do shift to these tyres.
Now, the rear ceat vertigo sport have a very different tread pattern than the vertigo available in smaller sizez, this tyres is jack of all trades master of none, you can ride it in all the terrains but never be too confident on any.
I have heard there is a ceat gripp in the 140 size for the rear (have a look at the same)
For the front 110/ 17 your in bad luck cause we simply dont get dual purpose tryre treads for fronts
Ask if anyone has tried plonking a rear tyre onthe front. But its not advisable.

Ralco was previously ralson that manufactured tyres for cycles and rickshaws nuff said ehh?
Im not sure what size of tyres you need, their are plenty of good tyres from ceat in 19s. For enfields(assuming)

I keep blabbering about ceat gripps cause man are they grippy for indian conditions specially in the wet, much better than sabka favorite zappers.
Tubeless 19s now are a tuff call, I will mention all good tyres in 19s front and back that I have got a chance to ride on an enfield
Front:- ceat gripp xl 90/90/19 tt, alao have a look at the mrf in the new thunderbird., front tyre of the hero impulse..
Rear:-; ceat gripp 3.50 /90/19 tt and a certian mrf nylogripp (crap)

If you dont have any luck finding a decent tubeless try using almos tyre sealant costed me about 215rs and never had a puncture for 20000km after that a certain nail on the road went in and ripped the tube in 2 places
my tyre was up for replacement by then so replaced both.
                Hope it helps.

Thanks Divyansh. Yes I am looking for a tubeless setup for my royal enfield electra. I dont want to downsize my rim and only option I could find in 19" is ralco with which I dont want to go. By the way from where can I get this almos tyre sealant. I was also looking for some tyre sealant but couldnt find one at the local tyre shops. Suggestions please.

I bought it from a local store but I have a friend that got it from snap deal dot com I think or it was e bay. Can youcheck both the websotes? Just type almos tyre sealant in the search options of the website.

The problem with the stock tyres is the lack of threads. My riding has been 50-50 on tarmac and mud/slush which is why I am keen on the Vertigos. With the stock tyres, even the slightest hint of water and mud together makes them go haywire and I've had few close calls.

I have seen the Ceat Gripp but have not come across any reviews yet. Will try to find out reviews and specifically their performance in mud and slush.

For the front, I don't think plonking a rear tyre is a good idea. Seen some of the rally Dukes with the Impulse rim and tyres but that does not look like an option for me. Hence was thinking about the Michelin Siracs, but as you mentioned, they are not what they used to be.

Hey, can you confirm if that is the tube or tubeless version? Also am guessing this is the 120/80 -17. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Has the straight line grip been affected? Heard the Vertigos have the tendency to fishtail at high speeds.
