    During the designing stage of the r15 v1 its fabled that yamaha rejected 6 tyres by mrf, so mrf r and d and to work super hsrd to design the tyre ! So yeah yamaha were very picky on their tyres and even though the bike looked skinny toed its handling is much better than anything 2 classes over. Messing with that is not right. But then tyres are tyres. Relax and go with the v2 front tyre, its just 10 mm thicker. What you will experience is better braking, good grip on the bad stuff, s little heaver handling and a but flater profile on the tyre face since the v2 front rim 'feels' a bit wider(it may not be so this csn be fine). You might feel handle is a bit heavier but its mostly in your head too. Go ahead. I would.

      R15v2 has mrf revs in the rear
      For the p220 have a look at the ceat vertigo 120/80 good for monsoons. Michelins maybe.

        I too was on the look out for 120/80-18 profile tyres for my classic 500....the only tire I found in my area is the MRF Zapper C.
        Would it be a good choice? Can someone tell me how is its braking and cornering performance...
        I am little choosy about my tire since the classic is not a light bike...

        Also came across 2 tires named TVS Jumbo and Ceat Vertigo Rage in the same profile on Snapdeal...any users who'd like to review the same?

        Update: Another shop I came across told they have a Dunlop tire for 120/ 80-18...but they will have to bring it from another shop branch in a different place...they said it will cost between 2000-3000rs and will bring it there if I wanted....i asked to at least tell me the name of the tire....he said dunlop neo something....any idea which one it is?

          Need help with my P200NS .

          I am planning to change my front tyre to the stock size however I am looking for a better tyre than Eurogrip.
          Considering monsoon around the corner, looking for something that offer grip and braking even in wet conditions.

          On my stock tyres, I have no front brake/grip during rain ...i am left to user rear.
          On dry the braking is Ok , but could improve.

          Any help would be great, specially from NS owners who has used and tried

                In the bone dry heat this tyre has performed exceptionally well, tyre has not been tested in full wet situations as the monsoon hasn't arrived in delhi, but in partial rain tyre grip was quite good.

                  Bone dry ...we know how hot it is in delhi . Will try to see its available during the week.

                            IF Anyone who has used or currently using MRF ZAPPER FY1 (r15v2 front tyre) on their P220 could please upload the pic of the tyre and front mud guard, it will be really helpful. I wanted to see how much the lower profile(90/80 instead of 90/90) of tyre increases the gap btw the tyre and mud guard.

                                There can be some difference as the older Activa came with tuffup tube type tyre, and tyres do get punctured in this type of arrangement, but in tubeless tyres rims might be different, i would say check at your nearest showroom or svc and inquire about this matter, if the svc says there is no difference in the rims of both old and new scooter then you can definitely go for tubeless tyres.
