This Tire I believe is a front fitment.
U can find it on the tire side wall.
There would be an arrow with Direction of rotation.
in that you have the fitment mentioned.

Example : in Rear fitment it'll say Rear in the Arrow.
Please check & let us know what it has?

I Previously checked with Michelin US.
They are pretty CLEAR about the details on the Side wall.
What ever is mentioned on it is Final.

Tubetype needs Tube & TL means Tubeless.
Front fitment has to be front & rear only for rear.
They make them considering the Contact Patches & weight distributions during Braking, Cornering & Accelerating.

PLEASE REFRAIN FROM changing the intended use.

The Siracs Work Due to their Quality.
The Porosity of the Tubetype & Tl(Tubeless) Tires are different.

The two letters in any tire TT signify Tubetype only & TL is for Tubeless.
Dude, whatever you wrote above i already know.. I am very well aware about these facts...!!

Secondly, coming to your point of that tire being for the Front...it was clearly confirmed by KRP,Delhi(from where i bought the tire) that it is to be used as Tubeless and it is a Rear tire..

    • Ok i know, I know

But well, I actually have no idea where to post this query but I will do it here...

I am looking at changing the stock back tyre on my Thunderbird and am looking at some options. I see that a lot of the guys esp at InddieThumpers have the MRF Meteor as the back tyre. This seems like a good option, though here are my points:

      1. I need good handling - esp in wet weather. Cause I have skidded in the recent past and nearly skidded with my wife as pillion....
      2. I don't do too much long riding, but once in a month, I ride atleast 500 kms straight up and down.
      3. I will be riding mostly on dirty tarmac - the Bangalore variety
      4. Need good handling.

So all you riding gurus - please help!

It is clock wise if we see from the right side of the bike..

and "Tubeless" is embossed on the tire..

tybeless cannot go onto spoke wheels unless there's spoke wheels made for the purpose - double locking that tubeless tyres need. And, I haven't seen a spoke wheel with that facility so far. Did any one see such a thing?

                        • I'm using mrf Vyde(tubeless)...since many days I'm noticing that the tyre getting deflated at a quick rate...from 30 to 20 psi in 10 days...
I've checked there is no puncture...
what can be the problem? Does this problem comes under warranty

Check if the alloy is slightly bent. Most probably this would be the case. Also check if the air valve is leaking.

                              • Hi,
Can anybody recommend a good rear tyre for the Avy180, 130/90 or 140/90 etc

I do not want to go for the same stock one again cause its bald at the center, pretty bad during rains.

                                Options I know of :
                                Dunlop:
I noticed a decent looking one on the Dunlop website, D404:
                                Dunlop TireD404
Does anybody know if this is available in India (Bangalore). I will try calling a couple of dealers over the weekend.

                                MRF:
MRF website shows the ZapperQ thats available in 140/90. Is this good? Anybody used this?

                                Other:
I have heard names like IRC(?), Kings etc. seem to be Korean/Taiwanese/Chinese. Are these reliable?
Any other brands that are tried, tested and recommended?

                                Appreciate the inputs

                                Thanks,
                                Beo
