Absolutely . "Michelin's symbol is Bibendum (aka "Bib the Michelin Man", "Bibelobis", or simply the "Michelin Man"),[13] introduced at the LyonsExhibition of 1894 where the Michelin brothers had a stand[14]. " - WIKI

      • Especially for Mr Gaurav Lal....

Just noticed that the 120/90-17 SIRAC from Michelin clearly mentions that its a Tube Type still the dealers are selling it as Tubeless, I have been back to the dealer were I have purchased the Tyre from and requested them to change it however they mentioned that Michelin company has mentioned that it should be used as Tubeless, is this true?

Michelin's tyres are officially sold as Tube type tyres..but some ppl USE them as Tubeless.

Michelin thinks TT tyres are better for Indian conditions.

Anyhow, I've been using the Sirac as TL for close to 9K kms now and have ridden it on the worst of roads possible at the highest speeds possible on my bike, I did not face any issues with using it as TL.

                    • Yet again .... a tyre query...

                      hey guys...
i have been advising many ppl on numerous topics related to bike. But then there is ONE thing which i am kinda need of help and advice.

see i am having a R15...1 yr old...the rear tyre is totally worn out...wanted to change the tyre.......and I HAVE NO IDEA regarding tyres...pls help...

i am thinking FZ tyre as an option...actually i am not inclined towards wide tyres....just want something that good on road and doesnt get puncture easily.....i knw the stocks are the best ....its just that i am tired of soft compound R15 tyre....which happen to be a puncture magnet....man i have spent around 1000 bucks in the past 1 yr on getting puncture fixed !!!

                      • OKay guys, time for a tyre change for me

Been using IRC's on my cbz-x for 25-26k kms, both front and rear.

I am inclined towards using them again, but can anyone confirm whether they have tubeless too now in bangalore ? I didnt have a choice back then.

But after a short conversation with praveen_km i might try the m45, if both sets are avialable in bangalore. Would change the tyres in january before a long ride home .

I confirm that we have not made any such statement. Once again I would like to specify that tyre are inscribed with TT or TL indicating the intended use as Tube Type or Tubeless.

Mods have moved your query to an appropriate section.

Well, about the tyre, if you are not looking for an stock one, then try for Mrf vyde 120/80/17". I know the profile is big but the tyre is quite good(medium compund) very good on roads and satisfactory on off roads. For more details, try posting your query in R15 thread
And why to spend 1000bugs to repair puncture, do it on your own. You get the whole kit for 200rs.(the tools and 5bits)(good one) and 80rs for 5 bits.
and after watching so many punctures, I guess you can give it a try.
                              its all about CC...
