it cost 1900 here in cochin.Originally posted by maraque View PostHow much is that 100/80 17? I was thinking of putting that in for my front tyre and a Pirelli SD 140/70 17 on the rear of my P220.
i dont suggest putting a 140 at the rear.mine's 130/70 IRC and have lost top end. its better to stick to 120 of perilli.A good mechanic will let u watch without charging u for it!

That's why I want to stick in a 140/70, 'cause the 130/70 has a smaller circumference than the 120/80, effectively giving the bike a shorter gearing. I want a 140/70 because it has the almost exact circumference, and also because Pirelli SD is not available in 120/80.Originally posted by threat2myself1 View Postit cost 1900 here in cochin.

Edit: Correction, I might lose a little bit of top end because it would obviously be heavier. But I'm guessing it would be negligible.Last edited by maraque; 05-15-2010, 02:41 PM.

went and checked out tyres for my ZMa.
Prices quoted were
1. Ceat vertigo 100/90 (did not state tubeless on the tyre) - 1800
2. Ceat vertigo 120/90 (tubeless written) - 1850
3. Michellen Sirac - 2900 - 120/80 -
I am skeptical about the 120 size because of performance issues and the need to have the chain guard removed.
The sirac seems to be on the expensive side. the dealer quoted 3k for the 120 vertigo initially and then checked with a dealer and said 1850.
is a 100/90 tuneless option available on the vertigo?

4.00 18 M45 is also an option ( equivalent to 100/90 18 ). 100/90 18 Sirac is also an option.Originally posted by steveburnside2001 View Postwent and checked out tyres for my ZMa.

thanks for the reply.Originally posted by GoGreen View Post4.00 18 M45 is also an option ( equivalent to 100/90 18 ). 100/90 18 Sirac is also an option.
some questions.
1. isint the 100/90 sirac a front tyre. if used what problems can I face.(I really want the sirac.
2. The m45 as told by a colleague of mine is a heavy tyre and is more of a city tire. I want one for touring especially off roading and highway riding.
3. am I being taken for a ride with the 3k price tag on the sirac. Last time I heard it was about 2100 -2200 rs. any michellen dealer number I can get to check for the price. the guy I inquired was no dealer and had tyres from all companies.
If it is about 300-400 rs more expensive than the ceat I will pick it up if not I will go for the ceat.

Yes it is originally designed for front, but we have tested it for rear with some bikes, and the results are positive. The only thing to keep in mind is that while fitting it for rear , the direction of fitment should be exactly opposite of what is indicated on sidewall. Price is 2010. This is a tubeless tyre.Originally posted by steveburnside2001 View Postthanks for the reply.

The 120 80 18 Sirac MRP is 2760. Tube cost is extra. Prices have not changed in a long time for Michelin. If you need help in locating a genuine Michelin Dealer, do let me know which city you need your Michelin, and I will advise you accordingly.

the price is incorrect. I bought it last month @1300 without tube. I dont think tubeless is available for 100/90 vertigo. RajOriginally posted by steveburnside2001 View Postwent and checked out tyres for my ZMa.
