Guys., here in chennai .., readily and economical tyres available are :

1. Zapper C : 1900/-
2. CEAT VERTIGO : 1800/- (TL)
3. Dunlop : 1800/-

Other brands thr but my budget is within 2k .

Repeated enquiry on tyres , got info that Zapper C losses its grip after 7 to 8 months and again we should run for tyre replacement .....

Ceat vertigo is the best tyre , they say for my pulsar 150 ug3 . Also , a known fellow in tyre business for some 10 yrs , told Its always Ceat for two wheelers .... Its the grandfather of MRF'S

Now i have to replace my rear tyre immediately.... its 90% worn out.. In a fix , which to go ... Ceat or stick on with Zapper c (stock model) itself ??

Anna, am not sure, But i think you can also use 100/90 tube on 90/90. tubes can be used in tyre which are +-1 size of their size. thats what i have heard. Coz i have used 100/90 tube on my RTR initially on 100/80 tyre.

I don't think so. I once used a 3.00*18" tube on my 100/90/18" GeoCruiser tyre&it gave way within 3 days!
But yeah, getting an extra tube should solve the problem.
Please help me with Zapper Q 90/90/18" tyre. I don't wanna end up going to TVS for service&getting their tyres too!

Yamaha FZ-16 rear 140/60 or 140/70 17" options

Hi guys,

I searched out this thread for Fz's tyres and didnt find much, hence posting a query here.

I am currently using the stock tyres on my FZ-16. 16000 kms done, I am looking for a rear tyre coz this one has become a victim of shoddy roads and even shoddier puncture repair (vulcanization) jobs.

I dont have much complains from the stock ones (the treads are still quite deep, but maybe they are just chicken stripes - the centre never really had any good treads.. see my profile pic) but still, while I have here an opportunity to change my tyre, I was thinking of looking at all the options available. Then I would decide which one suits my needs best and obv which one wouldn't blast too big a hole in my pocket.
I want to keep the tyre specs as stock as possible - dont really want a change in the feel of the bike in terms of height and FE.

Stock specs - 140/60 MRF Revz 17"

Usage:
Office rides mostly. The road consists of about 10 km of pathetic pot holed surfaces and surfaces made of huge stones 10-12 cms across trapped in erstwhile wet mud which has now dried.. I hope I was able to explain it. The rest is 13 kms of good road.

Other Requirements:
Decent wet hold
Something grippy on dry smooth roads would help.. dont want to washout on corners...

Zapper vyde is also avialale in 100/90.. Stock size of P150. If u could find it get it instead of other two option..

i need to change my rear tyre for Karizma.The tyres which are available to me are Michelin Sirac 120(Tube) and Pirelli Demon 120(Tubeless).I wanted Zapper Q 120.(it will be available in a few days)

Can anyone suggest which Tyre is good i.e Michelin,MRF or Pirelli?.Are Michelin and Pirelli that good ?Cause i have been using MRF zapper Q 130 for 20k,so i trust MRF .
And another case.Should i go for Tube or tubeless.??

yes michellin and pirelli are way too much better
michellin m45 is best tyre ..lighter than your stock zappper

pirelli sport demon would be slightly heavier and will wear out faster comapred to m45

...do not go for sirac, sirac is a heavy tyre..

go in for michellin m45 ( m45 can be run tubeless as well) or new range of michellin pilot sporty tubeless

any michellin dealer...or metro tyres at grant road

go in for m45 or new pilot sporty rather than sirac..

I want Tubeless, cos 95% use is on highways. I enquired for Pilot sporty at TyreX, Mulund. they said they will ask availability at main stockist and revert.

upsizing tyre help

hi im new here.. i wanted to put fz front tyre i.e. 100/80 or90-17 on my pulsar 150 cc 2007 model..
i have alrdy bought 120/80-17 rear.. i had thot of zapper 90/90-17 but its out of stock. so i just wanted to know if 100/80 will fit for my pulsar front tyre.. witout touching the guard.. pls help n do tell me after usizing what r the things that i have to do if any... thank you.

FZ front tyre will fit without mods, does not touch the mudguard. Nothing special to be done after fitment.
