Want to change the rear tyre of Pulsar 180 UG4
Please suggest some leaner tyre for pulsar 180 ug4' rear, stock is 120/80-17 tubeless MRF Zapper.
I want to bring it down to a leaner one so that I get little more mileage.
Also my experience with this Zapper is not good, it skids!!! No offense "Zapper Happy" people, this is my experience.
Need you suggestion on different tyres that will fit on mine. If possible also include the price.
Regards,
R

If you down size the tyre gearing will be affected , and your bike will be undergeared . You will gain some acceleration and top end will be reduced . Also vibrations will creep earlier than normal .Originally posted by ranadipsg View PostPlease suggest some leaner tyre for pulsar 180 ug4' rear, stock is 120/80-17 tubeless MRF Zapper.

You can go for pirelli sport demon or MT75 , both are 110/80 , priced around 2600 INR . Being soft compound they offer excellent grip but short life span compared to MRF . But for 17" other good options are availiable in MRF .
You cannot gain more than 3 kmpl max by down sizing the stock .
Zapper vyde would be the best choice if you dont want to down size !

AFAIK, the 3.00 * 18 tuffup tunes provided in Unicorn is very much usable in other 100/90 * 18 tyres as well. In your case, a Hunk.Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostYesterday went to Honda showroom for tuffup tube and found that tuffup tubes provided for unicorn is 3.00 * 18 in size,So left there and bought Dunlop 100/90-18 tube for 300rs.Did you guys get 100/90-18 tuffup tubes anywhere?

MRF Meteor 110/90-18 is a hard compound tyre and has pathetic wet grip, especially after running it for 8-10k kms.Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostYes bro,I had ordered rear tire,MRF Meteor 110/90-18, bought the front tire from TVM with help of an Xbhpian(Dilip),Front tire was so bad and cant ride with it during the rains,so changed it first.
Yes,SIRAC Street 2.75 x 18,good grip too.
