    As Sriram said its the cross wind and has nothing to do with tyres. But Yes...with new set of tyres you might feel uncomfortable for first few kms.The bike and the biker will get used to the tyres after 100 odd kms.

    Lemme put a review for my tyre's performance in my last trip.
    In the whole trip it was raining heavily but still in those twisties of wayanad forest I could manage to keep 70-80kmph with a pillion.I never felt like I lost grip at any point of time. Thanks to the tarmac quality of those roads too.
    In mysore road I had to panic break once due to a poser Bast**d going in front like a snake with his racespec Fazer .I breaked hard and I was around 120+ on speedo(with pillion).The bike just glided on the road for a feet or so(I mean straight ) but I dint feel like I lost traction. The tyres are just amazing !!!

    Oh yeah...I am using M45(TT) as my front (Thanks to Aneesh for recommending that) and Pirelli SD 110/90(TL) as my rear.

        Run-in period for the new tyres? Didn't heard of it,also check tire alignment if it wobbles during high speeds.

          Read on Michelin India's website that the bike should be ridden at normal speeds for the first 100 miles. Wonder what normal speeds are . I had an accident couple of months before where i hit a car from the rear and another biker hit my bike's rear. Since then, when i viewthe bike from the rear, The bike's rear mudgard and the tyre seem misaligned to me.Does this mean that the tyre is not aligned properly? When i asked my mechanic, he said that only the mudgard is bent and there is no misalignment with the tyre. I'll post the pics of this misalignment over the weekend.

                Combination of hard and soft both...
                The reason being Sirac is a dirt tire which can be used on all terrains (mostly gravel and rigid surface) Michelin has kept the compound to be handled on both terrains plan tarmac as well as off road.

                If you see MRF zappers...all are soft compounds...they offer superb grip while cornering on dry tarmac but slips bad on gravel, wet and off road surfaces.

                  MRF uses Soft compound? I don't think so,AFAIK Zapper Vyde is of soft compound, don't know about others.

                    So do you think that the Siirac Street will offer lesser dry tarmac grip when compared to the MRF Zappers while cornering or under hard braking?

                      you corner with your knee down on a sirac soon you will be tasting tarmac
                      It is a dirt tire. Can be used for cornering but around 30-40 kmph and not higher than that. Had a friend with CBZ installed a Sirac...didnt go that well and lots of complains of cornering shift weight issues.

                      If you want cornering go for Pirelli Sport Demon or the MRF Zappers...they are superb and designed to suit racing conditions (well not exactly track based but yes usual cornering is ok)....

                      The life with Zappers might be less since it will be of soft compound!!!!but cornering on those rubbers is heaven man...

                        @ Aneesh & other guys, picked up Sirac Street 2.75 x 18'' for the front & 3.00 x 18" for the rear which goes into my Rx 135. I'm just contemplating between going back to 2.75 x 18" M45 for the rear as i feel 3.00 will be a slight over kill for the looks as well as the handling. Also the 2.75 x 18" Sirac Street pattern front cannot be used in the rear i guess...Any pointers to decide on this??

                            MICHELIN is now selling SIRAC Street range of tyres now, which are very different from the earlier SIRAC sold. The SIRAC Street are designed for the Indian bikes as compared to SIRAC which was designed fro 650 cc bikes.

                            Go on try it out . You won't regret it.

                                Am using Sirac street 2.75-18 with M45 4.00-18 in my zma. Love the way it handles. Was able to cornor like never before on my Zma during my recent trip to Ellora caves from aurangabad. 15kms of ghat section.
