Same problem caused to my friend when he booked Yamaha FZ. In the RC book the model name was mentioned as Taurus for FZ. From where did they got that name? May be from TVS... BS

An update: I visited PRB guys and met the guy who had been a very good salesman when I first visited their showroom. He is an assistant manager over there. He said all this is due to the fact that Bajaj has written 01 cylinder in the sales agreement that was submitted to the authority. No wonder they are making the necessary changes without charging me and are saying that I will get a new card in 2 weeks time. Fingers crossed!

Meanwhile, I would urge you guys to take this poll I created. Lets see how many got the RC card with correct details.

I have an Intruder where the Cubic capacity has been mentioned as 800 instead of 1800. It would be a problem when I plan to sell because there are intruders with lesser cubic capacity being sold abroad. Even if there isn't why should it be wrong. I have been chasing the dealer unsuccessfully for the last few months.

my RC book for my P18O said 150cc... got it changed.

the RTO guys changed the 150 to 180 with a blue ball point pen and used a RTO rubber stamp at the side of the correction.

my insurance papers say 180cc tho.

Boss, please do not leave it like that, come what may just get it corrected, as you will have problems later on. Buyers/ dealers or second hand vehicles just need an issue to scale down the price. ALL THE BEST!

My Classic 500 RC has the model entered as "Enfield 350 CC Super Bullet"..the cubic capacity is entered as 499 though..
When I asked the guys, they said its because my bike is a new model (got it in the first batch)..I forgot about it till now and moreover was lazy to go back to the RTO!!

Hey, if you would have raised your concern to the RE guys upon receiving the RC card, then it would have been better. Now the onus is on you to get it corrected as these guys will not help you. But you can still try, lodge a written complaint with RE guys.

Checked my RC after reading this thread now and I find nothing that indicates the number of cylinders. Only the cubic capacity and something called a "Type of Body" is mentioned and answered as "SOLO"

I don't know why is that, but the new RC cards being issued in Delhi does mention "No of CYL"; both for 2 wheelers as well as 4 wheelers
