Without Upjetting ? how many kms you have clocked till now after changing to K&N.

But there is a smaller version of the filter for 150 cc bikes that cost about 1600 i guess. Mine is a little bigger that costs about 2400 INR.
U wouldnt feel anything now, after a few months maybe Guarenteed.

And 25% increase in power? Gimme a break buddy!

And there is no filter labelled "For small capcity bikes"/"For big capacity bikes". All are universal filters can be fitted to any damn automobile.

Upjet and it sure will. FE would drop. U would get marginal improvement on Power. U cant have both.

can i use this filter without touching the carb in order to increase just the FE ??? power increase is not a matter......

NOpe.U wont get any bump in power without upjetting. U would run the engine lean which will eventually screw it on the long run.

                hey
m also bout to upgrade to a performance filter(green air filter)
cn ne1 tell me with proper rejettin how much performance gain cn i expect in my 1st gen unicorn
The Automotive batteries are designed to work best in a typical short start-stop fashion.
So to increase the life of your automobile battery, blow the horn and flash the pass light in a quick start stop fashion instead of a conitnuous long horn blow or flash light continuous on!!
And obviously don't stretch the self start far too long.

@dogg - does green filter provide the same life as of k&n .. upto 50K kms... washable and reusable.. and if the pores are even smaller than k&n it wont be that freeflow as k&n .. it restricts dust plus airflow as well.. right.

na,the pores just keep out the very minute particles, the dust u r talking abt will be taken by the mesh surrounding it..
that is why u have to recharge ur filter evert 20~30k kms...
and by the way, i got a second a k&n rc1060 as i know abt the recharge kit and will soon be buying k&n's when i get into cars,so the recharge kit can be used for both...
but no info abt the green's recharge etc etc...

spitfire cables and iridium plugs are useless

                            hey
in many threads (on google not on xbhp) i hv read that xpensive spark plugs are effective when used in conjunction with high capacity air filters(k&n)
more air allows to tune the carb. for more fuel to achieve 14.1 : 1 air fuel mixture
this means more amount of air-fuel mixture per injection stroke
and a wide electrode gap in gpower spark plug helps in burning bulk air-fuel mixture efficiently.
i.e in stock configurations stock plug is unbeatable.
                            sounds sensible ! !
but is it tested by anyone?

Yeah @honda_vings makes sense.... I have also read that, these expensive spark plugs like the NGK iridiums are very effective in burning a more lean AF mixture. However i haven't tried it yet. I'm already pissed with the performance of my P180UG3 after the K&N and upjetting the main jet to a ZMA's 125mm jet. My engine overheats, engine suddenly goes off, engine & gearbox have become very rough ( though the CASTROL POWER 1 RACING oil is just mybe 600km old). My friend suggested the NGK platinums.. Wondering if I should try it out or REMOVE the K&N and revert back to stock..
Like someone said on some other thread, "USE THE FILTER IF U WANT THE SOUND, OTHERWISE STICK TO STOCK SETUP"
