"3D Designers Hideout" Thread!

@Snehil: Some real nice 3D models there. I always wanted to know - how easy/ hard it actually is to design these vehicles in a 3D software like 'Maya'? How much time does the whole process take?

Sorry for the newbie question, but frankly, I have zero idea about 3D.

well the time depends upon how familiar are you with the software.it takes a lot of patience for sitting on the pc(for the work ).this car was made in 3 dayz.as i lack of patience. :P

Alright! Thanks for the reply. It seems pretty good to my newbie eyes, although I would personally like it to be glossy painted.

i love to do lighting and rigging,
rigginin to much technical n the my faculty was not that good !
so lighting is good for me !

Definitely, i am in dire need of a normal human character.. Any links will be very helpfull..By the way, anyone working in studios??

There are some free models to be downloaded at 3dm3, turbosquid and the3dstudio. Use them.

I am working in a studio, although my job doesn't involve modeling cars or bikes ( ). We are doing some character modeling right now, but it's too early to give anyone a glimpse.

@Synn: I somewhat remember you posting some wonderful character models on the 'old' xBhp. Those were incredible, really.
