i bought this today...i asked for auto polish orange tin but he gave i have this...u want it take it...and considering its just 48 rupees for 50gms i bought it...
Best Indian hard wax that you can buy.

is this same as the auto polish thing? it is hard...but not s hard...if i press my finger at it..it leave finger prints...and i couldn't find this product on their website so asked here..any body used it?
Most of us who are fond of desi tricks on their sleeves are using it, including yours truly! The website doesn't has this image but still it is an orange tin nonetheless. You can check the link of the pic I posted a few posts back for confirmation. Or check the waxpol site itself.

i bought it because of all the confusion of swirl marks inducing cloths and blah blah i thought a hard wax will protect paint and then i can use anything to wipe the bike and paint will be protected by the wax coat...
don't get worried so much. Just wax with this, don't apply too thick a layer and rest be assured that this is the best protection that you can get for the 48 INR spent!

and is it really necessary to wash the scooter with a shampoo and then put this wax/polish? i washed it this sunday and little dust has settled on it...its very time consuming to wash again...cant i just pour water on the scooter and remove all dust and start with this?
and should i apply with a normal cotton cloth or a sponge?
Not just with this wax; but any kind of waxing requires you to wash your automobile thoroughly. Heard of the term: "For Best results...." You wouldn't want anything else but the best, don't you?
Also, if you use shampoo and wash, it takes care of the invisible road dust that doesn't go off just by pouring H2O! To add to that, you risk adding 'fine scratch marks' and 'swirls' when waxing (i.e. applying the wax).
    happy waxing!

if this stuff does work..its cheap...and i have heard offers protection longer than any other product in the market(atleast at this price...i hope i am correct...people say it lasts 6 months)
if this stuff lasts for even 4-5 months i do just 2-3 waxings a year...the price+duration+hardwork come out not to be so much then....and anyways i am in experimental phase with my aging scooter a the bakra...to get tested what works well and then will use it on the bike...
PS (a students meager pocket money cant afford big products so...)

Alright...i'll wash again and then apply the wax in this coats...thanks for the reassurance that this product does work...last bought motomax cream polish....i didnt feel it provided any protection..the bike just shined like it had just come out of the factory not even showroom...but no protection...and after 3-4 weeks i dont see it even lasting now...

AN additional Query...after this hard wax..using the silicone polish for shine doesnt affect the wax layer in anyway right?

Worlds best wax is Collinite 476; pls search for testimonials in Youtube...your mind blown guaranteed
What I'm saying is, Waxpol does it's job, but more of VFM category & does not fall under THE BEST category

For the kind of pollution this country has...I seldom doubt even a best of best wax offers anything more than 1 month protection Sry if I sound like pessimist

sure will check that...btw cost? and availability of collinite 476?

ah...dont be sorry...its understandable...sometimes being a pessimist and expecting less helps...if what u intended lasts longer than what ur pessimist mind expected..u get happy..if it lasts as much...well thats what u expected u shudnt be sad...and since u are a pessimist and expected less anyways..its not going to last lesser than what u expected :P (wow...now i read what i wrote and its confusing..i hope u get the jist)

Good for you. Go ahead and test it. Durability is always tested by environmental conditions. No matter what, if environmental conditions don't favor our hard work, then there is always next time . If we city guys can cringe on environmental conditions so badly, think about those guys who live in kucha road areas.

No matter what wax you put on your metal horse, its matter of environment that decides. I got a positive result of 6 months in city limit condition, some get more than that (lucky). If you dont mind the dust and be happy to see your bike/scooter having great beading effect and be assured that that thin layer of paint is covered by a thick layer of fat (pun intended), then all hard work is worth it.

Silicone is safe on hard wax. You can try Waxpol (cheap and easy).

My cheap and easy solution, get Pril/Vim dish washer from kitchen for this work. I always get caught by my wife while trying to steal it from the kitchen.

I fill about 50 mL in a old Colin bottle and dilute it with water, then spray it on wet cold engine and allow it to work for 10 min. Then rub with a old toothbrush (hard brush - Colgate or Oral B) and you will have a cool, sparkling, pleasant fragrant engine.

Add to that Collinite 915 ... Vintage and Car restorers perfect choice. If only we can get the Marine Wax of Collinite, I will be the happiest person on xBHP. (Not that I have a boat to wax, but water beading effect and protection will be next to none).

Add to that washing painted body surface with Surf / Tide / Rin and what not.

My review of WAXPOL SCOOTER POLISH/AUTO POLISH

Price :48 INR for 50 gms and i have 90% still left after waxing 1 bike and 1 scooter

Didint post pics for pulsar as it was already under cover and as its new its still shining...but found out 2-3 scratches on it which i hadn't seen before :/

BUT THE WAX IS SIMPLY AWESOME....the pics may look a bit bad because of my terrible mobile camera but when u look at it in real...it speaks a lot more...water beading is fantastic....shine is superb...i'd say every rupee and every minute put in this waxing is well spent...and come on guys..its not so hard to buff...yes u need to apply pressure and rub it hard but then....i am no competition to Arnold or Silvester Stallone yet....bt yes its not for the weak...
