Hey guys,
Any polish that is safe on matte finishes? (for my Dio). I know that normal polishes contains Wax which destroys the flat finish on matte black
A polish that's available in India?

Use a Dashboard Polish. Go to any shop that sells car accessories they will have it in stock

But Dashboard polish contains Wax.
Even I use Dashboard polish but only on plastic parts. NOT on body panels.
Won't it destroy subtle finish of matte grey?.

Should wash the MF cloth after every use. good MF cloths last over a hundred washes so dont worry about it. You can order online from autofesh.in or bringinbest.in. You can also get it from reliance auto stores but they dont have the really good ones

Yes you can wash it many times, on regular usage they easily last for more than a year. Depending on size & quality they are tagged in between 100 to 150 bucks. You will find them in the store where you get your polish & wax from, otherwise car service/washing/detailing centers are best place to look for.

I had this query in the back of my mind for some time now.
Once we wash the bike its clean and shiny. However one or two days down the line, dust starts to accumulate on our vehicles.
Here is the question: if we wipe that dust every day using a rag will that inturn cause more and more scratches to the paint surface on a regular basis too. Solution is to not wipe it at all and directly wash down the dust with water and detergent during weekends but by the time weeked comes dust becomes very visible on the scooter ( I have a honda aviator, so lots of vast body panels thus accumulated dust becomes even more visible). God forbid if we don't get time that weekend or the next one, its a blasphemy.
What should be ideally done according to you guys?

UWW or ONR in QD proportions.

Have a great problem. I have a pulsar 200 ns. Recently roads were repaired out here. While I was washing my bike,I noticed tar and dirt sticking under the engine. What should I do?The tar does'nt seem to go off completely.

if you can afford get a tar remover. or else get some diesel and spray at tar. wait and use MF cloth and use little force to remove it. with diesel tar will melt and come off, easily. also use a good automotive shampoo. please dont leave diesel on painted surface for long as its bad for clear coat.

I used WD40 to remove black tar marks on plastic surfaces near the tyre. AFAIK WD40 is safe to use on plastic & metal sufaces, NOT on painted surfaces OR spraying diesel might help you & it's affordable too unlike WD40

Just after I posted my query. The thought of tar sticking to my brand new bike killed me. So here's what I did. Got an old toothbrush some kerosene and a rag cloth. Rubbed the surface with the brush where the tar was sticking with kerosene and wiped with a rag cloth. Voila ! All gone . Looks brand new. Anyways have to buy a tar remover degreaser ASAP and thanks for the info guys.

Rubbed the surface with the brush where the tar was sticking with kerosene and wiped with a rag cloth. Voila ! All gone . Looks brand new. not a good method to detail... you cleaned painted surface like this?? kerosene is more volatile and is reacts faster to paint... diesel is much safer but yet not that good if used extensively or for long...

try to get a meguiars tar remover. spray and everything melts in a minute. use some shampoo + water, thats it. and use only MF cloth for cleaning and detailing.

HYD is pretty dead for motorcycle Deailing. i checked with a fewcar detailers. ask them if they could do it on the bike. was also ready to pay money as per their wish
but no one ready to work on it.

Here are a few products I suggest you to use. These products are safe on Paint/Clear Coat.

1. Clay Bar/ Block : Meguairs Hard Clay, Bilt Hamber Clay Bar, Ultima ElastroFoam or CarPro Polyshave Block or Opti Eraser
2. CarPro TarX
3. AutoFinesse ObliTarate

In case you buy a clay bar, ensure you DO NOT drop it. Once a clay bar is dropped it becomes useless. ElastroFoams are better and safe if dropped accidentally.
