and

40-42 Kmpl in light / no traffic.

2008 Apache Rtr Fi - 48 initially but later started ripping the bike. But irrespective of how you ride, I managed an average of 40-42 overall.

The same bike, carburetted into 220 cc in 2014 - gave 25 initially and max I got was 38.

Now running on a 180 cc block on the same bike... Still in run-in period. Managing to get around 44 becoz of riding below 50kph.

KTM Duke 390, 1.5 years old

City:
25-35 (depending on the traffic) -> ~31

Highway:
38-46 (if cruising in 6th between 60-90kph) -> ~42
26-32 (if cruising in 6th between 130-160+kph) -> ~29

If I cruise at 80 on the highway, I easily get 42-45. With pillion it reduces by about 2kmpl.
Tank fill: Rs 500 normal -> 7.5litres, typically 230km, last time during a long highway trip, 320km)

EDIT: added the high speed highway FE, just had a chance to go to Chitradurga on that magnificent highway and was slightly shocked to see the figures I was getting.

Yamaha R15 V2, 1.5 years old, 20,000kms done.

Efficiency in the city varies from 30-35 kmpl depending on the intensity of the traffic.

Highways are just perfect. Staying at 75kph on the 6th gear at 5k rpm and cruising gives me anywhere around 38-42 kmpl. The 2014+ versions equipped with the O2 sensors are reported to give better efficiency but the current is decent enough for me. On a tank full (12 litres), The range comes anywhere around 500-550 kms which again is good enough while touring.

(2013) yamaha r15 v2.0 = 33 -40kmpl (sold)

(2009) royal enfield electra 350 = 30 -38 kmpl (my brothers)

(2012) suzuki swish = 30-35kmpl (my mom's)

(2009) suzuki access = 30-35kmpl (my mom's, now sold)

(Don't know the year) yamaha rx100 = 20-25kmpl (it's was my uncles but I used it for 1 year )
