You may get a good exhaust for your Karizma ZMR, from these manufacturers:

Joel Joseph, RaceConcepts, Bengaluru. ([email protected])
    Kaulson Racing Products, Delhi.
    Automech exhausts, Mumbai.

Please google to find their addresses and contact details. I am a customer of Joel Joseph, and yes, the products are good.

      Hi Guys,

I am also looking to improve the exhaust note on my P135.
Usual option to change the exhaust would not be feasible for reasons such as
      a. unavailability and cost of good exhausts such as akrapovic or two borthers, exausts I see around just feel like the silencer is gone
      b. putting a louder exhaust on our bikes is strictly prohibited by law, dont want to take trouble with police in a state where I dont speak the lang

Is there anyway we can get more bassy sound out of our stock exhausts ? I saw one guy in youtube drilling the outlet of his FZ6 making it wider, which seemed to have made some improvement. Is it going help in our case ?

Unfortunately this topic is having lots of questions but very few answers, kindly share some suggestions buddies

First of all no manufacturer make exhausts for P135. I doubt whether Joel does it or not.
Secondly drilling hole will make it sound more like a "steel can"

Try removing the cat con but it would effect emission norms.

            Hello there...

I have recently bought a used Karizma R 2007 model with 43k on the odo and working on its performance modifications.

I have already for it fitted with a K&N RC1060 air filter. Now planning to upsize the Main jet(135), Slow jet(40/42) and NGK Iridium Spark plug model CPR8EIX9 .

Why I am here is, I was looking for a FFE from Joel, I did sent him couple of emails but never got a reply from him. So if anyone have any other source of getting a Joels FFE or any other aftermarket FFE which can improve bikes performance..

So its a request to all to help me here as its next to impossible here in Jaipur to even get a NGK spark plug..

Thanking you all Xbhpians in advance...

Is your vehicle out of warranty? Why would you want to go for a FFE anyway?

                  I have a question....
My free flow exhaust was damaged today
A fat fried climed on the bike from the wrong side and stepd on the exhaust and it just broke from the bend pipe joint .... it was a little rusted I agree....
Now this is how I had made the exhaust....
I had bought a stock pulsar ug4 exhaust and cut the mouth of it... and removed some glass wool and shortened it by about 4 inches and reinstalled the the top with gas welding...
Now....I had no overheating issues or any other problems apart from a louder exhaust note and a rev happy engine and in the higher rpms the bike was very happy and peppy....
But my mechanic said the valves will take a beating but in the 10k kms I used it I saw no effect except a little fall in fuel economy.
                  Should I make another one?
Or stock is ok? And I should not risk damaging the engine?

I wanted to know if these widely popular slip ons are legal as per indian road law? Its been just two days for me that I had put it on and already my friends have started to pour in with all issues related to high decibel levels for this. I am keeping the revs low (~4000rpm) in city limits though to avoid any undesirable attention.

There are many online data available for making custom exhaust.IF you glass welded the top how will you replace the glass wool periodically?Yeah, exhaust valve would take a beating.
Just wait for 25k on odo,i am sure.

The exhaust I had made I had used for around 45k kms no issues at all.

Making best custom exhaust is like rocket science, there are so many aspects of an exhaust other than removing burnt gases from cylinder, reducing back pressure will increase horse power of an engine, exhaust should be correctly selected or fabricated there are several important factors in an exhaust first what is your final goal with the bike. If you just want a little more torquee a bit more pep, an less expensive slip-on may be the way to go. If, you are prepared for future headwork, camshaft changes, or different carbs, a full system exhaust is the right way to go.Each modification, should be made with the other modifications in mind.

                            Heheheh a
L I did was remove a little glass woll and repackednit and made it shorter
Thing with bajaj exhaust tech exhaust is that they are very restricted
And hence if you free em up a little they still work fine and valves are not damaged due to extreme lean afr and low back pressure
Just a lil carb tune and a bassy music is ready!
A ffe is very hard to make I just made my stock one to sound bettor but wrk more or less same.
I also suggest to stay away from major modifications because
The road from stock to modified has only a way back......

Cutting and repacking stock exhaust, according to your needs tha's one nice job, a ffe is hard to make plus i think it's not road legal also.

                                Hello,

good to be back after a long time here!!

i have ended the warranty period on my bike recently and now i want to do some experimentation on changing the look and feel of my yamaha fz fi.

Experts! can you please throw some light on what is the best aftermarket exhaust that i can choose for FZ FI (V2)

                                my requirements:

                                1. should not be very loud, should have more bass and thump like the interceptor note ( pls dont troll, i know interceptor is 650cc twin but still love the sound - will get one soon )
                                2. should look nice, and not like some soda can on a pipe
                                3. i dont want to cut open the stock pipe, so anything that comes with complete bent pipe to muffler.
                                4. budget max 8k. ( only if i really like something very much can go till 8K, else anything under 5k would be ideal)

                                please help!!
