  • Re: Inflating Tyres with Nitrogen

I never believed Nitrogen worked, till I tried it on my Ninja 650, when I fill normal air [rear tyre 34, front 32] and do a few high speed runs and check the tyre pressures again the rear shows 40 and front around 36, at the same station when I fill Nitrogen same pressures as above and do high speed runs there is no difference in the tyre pressure. The ride on the Nitrogen feels a lot plush when compared to the normal air. I feel nitrogen makes a lot of difference in tubeless tyres.

      1. Ask one your trusted buddy to fill up either air/nitrogen after completely deflating. Let him decide it based on a coin-toss or dice(even/odd).
      2. Take the motorcycle for short spin
      3. Make a note of ride quality each time and then guess what's inside, nitrogen/air.

Your friend may fill up nitrogen only once in 5 consecutive tests.

If you've guessed right in all five attempts then you're on right track; and if good ride quality was always on nitrogen then nitrogen is the way to go.

        Charges at this pump:
20/- for nitrogen in both tyres (Opted for this for now)
100/- for a card which can be used for multiple refills within a year at the same pump.

A couple of my friends are gonna try it as well to completely negate any "placebo" effect I may have since the change to nitrogen
Hey bro, I also live near that area and fuel up at that bunk... I am soon gonna fill up nitrogen...

        • What is difference between O2 and N2 in Motorcycles tyres?

Is there any advantage to using nitrogen instead of compressed air in tires for Motorcycles?
Will I notice improved fuel economy or a smoother ride?
          Will my tires last longer?
If it's good to go - what else precautions I have to take?
