Check the plug electrode and ground for any tapering ro deformation... to decide on the change.
that's what i had on my mind untill a jack @#^ in the castrol bike zone removed the plug and scraped the entire tip,etc with carbon paper... the ngk dealer told me never to touch the tip and also never to adjust the gap...
don't know the damage caused,so thought of replacing it...

kick that guy at the Castrol Bike Zone for playing with the plug...

And, use multi-quote feature... and don't quote full messages when not needed.

That is not true. Go for a plug only if it matches the model number.

Anyone tried the Bosch twin-electrode spark plug that fares for around 100 bucks? It claims the following:

BOSCH Super: twin electrode for 2 wheelers
                    • Increased ignition reliability throughout the spark plug’s entire service life
                    • Improved cold-start characteristics
                    • Low ignition-voltage requirement
                    • Self-cleaning effects in case of sooting
                    • Two ground electrodes increase the plug’s service life

Spark Plug model number. Please refer to your manual. It would be written as NGK CPR8EA-9. You can get a GPower (Platinum) plug of the same spec - NGK CPR8EAGP-9 (MRP RS 200). There is no Iridium IX plug for this spec.

You can get a regular NGK (Nickel) plug - CR7E (~Rs 75) or a GPower plug - CR7EGP (~Rs 130). An Iridium IX - CR7EIX is also available ar Rs 550 but I believe the GPower is good enuff. Or you may try the Bosch twin electrode plug that TVS gives for the RTR's. It is the same spec for Fiero too. My pick is the GPower.
