I did'nt quiet get wat ur asking....but if its abt the update on menace......those folks swear that they dont expect a new bike from TVS this year!

bhai, honestly i was not sure of the grade as mentioned earlier but he mechanic in pune used it on my ride and i have this bad habit of fiddling with the mechanics when they work so that even i can learn more about the bikes and the mechanism. my mechanic's name is Gyaneshwar and he used mobil1 fully synthetic oil. Its priced around Rs 1200.00 odd. but thanks for the information bhai.

^^^ go through this thread peacefully... you'll find many options for a Karizma. Even the ownership thread has a lot of dialogue about this.

For starters, HH Oil from Idemitsu (Savita Chemicals) or Veedol (Tide Water) would be good. Next is Gulf Pride 4T Plus (Semi Synth) and one paisa vasool fully synth from Petronas - Sprinta 4T 5000. If you plann for fully synth, pls check the Hyd Bulk Order thread - (http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/coffee-l...hyderabad.html), we are about to order for a full carton.

BTW, isn't the Shell V-Power brand name used for fuels? Are you sure of a V-Power engine oil?

am sorry my mistake shell V power is the standard for the fuel and not oil. my aplogies.

That is a motorcycle oil. But is not available in India. Should be an imported / smuggled item. But Rs 1200 is very high. They sell it for under USD 15 in the USA.

The manual recommends 20W40 for the LB500. So I guess I'm safe with the 10W40 rating of the Superswift.

RE recommends 20W50 for the Cast Iron bulls. The AVLs run the 20W40 and the UCE runs 15W50.
