Which bike do you have? Everyone says mineral oils are best for run-in period. You can go for synthetic if your budget permits, else semi-synths are good too, longer life then minerals& much better heat management too!Originally posted by leadpb View Post

1. Semi-synth is not recommended because its is believed that it may hamper/delay the run-in process... however, one cant make a definite statement about this. Depends on the oil's formulation, etc. Hence its just safest to use mineral oil.Originally posted by leadpb View PostI have one basic doubt(s).
1. Why is (Semi-)Synthetic oil not recommended for new engines??
2. Which oils would you recommend for 150cc 6K old bike.
Some I have tried to go through the 50 pages of the thread, but I still couldn't find a definite answer
2. As for which oil, you have't mentioned which bike, so cant comment. But you can use safely use semi/fully synth also.

Yes, you have completed the run-in period some time back. I would say start her off with a semi-synth, observe how she responds to it, then go for a full-synth!Originally posted by Raccoon View Post1. Oil for Zma.
People Please help me.
I have 2006 Zma.
It has done 20K kms.
I am planning to go for Castrol Power1 Racing engine Oil this time.
Will it be good??
Or please let me know the Best Engine Oil in Fully Synthetics for older Zma.
Are Fully Synthetic Oils equal to the hype?? I mean are they actually that good. What about Power1 Racing??Rachit K Dogra

Synthetic oils are up to the expectation. Castrol Power 1 Racing is very good, there are testimonials here from very experienced people justifying the same. If you are looking for a cheaper option in full synths, you can go with Petronas Racing 4T 5000, for Rs.450.Originally posted by rachitkdogra View PostPeople Please help me.

How much is the difference in Petronas Racing 4t 5000 and Castrol Power 1 Racing??
I drive the bike in the higher ranges of rpm.
Also any idea about the drain periods of these oils.
Thank you so muchRachit K Dogra

Drain periods will be similar. Minimum 8K kms. You may have to topup around 4K though. Price difference is 300.Originally posted by rachitkdogra View PostThanks Dude.

People who used both Petronas Sprinta 4T 5000 and Castrol Power1 Racing have mentioned Petronas to be better and I think dealers still have stock at Rs 330 a can ( inagural offer price). Pls check post 145 for where u can get that in Delhi. They might sell u the can at Rs 300 as some of our members bought. At that price it is complete paisa vasool even if u drain it at every service but can run it for 4000 KMS easily.Originally posted by rachitkdogra View PostThanks Dude.
