Re: Engine Oils
Buy a 20w40 itself, shifting from such a thick oil to 10w30 can cause damage. You can go to a Yamaha showroom and buy the yamalube oil which they use for ray.Originally posted by Saurabh213 View PostJust One More Query
My Tvs Scooty Was Filled With 20w-40 Mineral Oil By The TVS ASC Till 2013 But After The Launch Of TVS Tru4 Semi-Synthetic They Started Filling It With 10w-30 TVS True4 Engine Oil..!
Now When I Am Buying A Engine Oil Which Grade Should I Buy Now ?

Re: Engine Oils
The motul one is 10w## and 10 will be very light for the summers, as today's temp is 35+ .so, any oil else than yamalube, which is cost efficient and good for ultra sane riding style.Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostBuy the Motul one posted above if you can find it, or go for yamalube from Yamaha SVC.

Its is available in both 20w40 and 10w30..
Also motul seems to be making similar oils (oils for these gearless scooters are of the grade JASO MB).. You can also get the 10w30 JASO MB oil from a Honda ASC (comes in a golden brown colored bottle)
My recommendation would be 20w40 JASO MB..atleast in the summers, maybe you can switch to 10w30 during nov/dec/jan.
I have been using the 20w40 (honda oem, castrol activ, shell ax5, castrol activ scooter)in the 7 years of ownership of my Dio, and the past year and a half on the Castrol activ scooter 20w40 and pretty happy with it. Just got back from a full service and this time after almost 7 months and 2900km.. this oil held up well.Last edited by s1d; 04-06-2014, 12:33 PM.

I Don't Think The Motul Scooter Oil Should Be Available HereOriginally posted by Divyanshp150 View PostGo a few pages back.. there was a page where there was a motul oil specific to gearless scooters try to get your hands on one...
And 10w30 is too thin for indian summers
Get a thicker oil
