      2000 kms is max for Shell Ax-7
      Royal Enfield Bullet Standard 350cc 1989, Bajaj Avenger 200-2009, Pulsar 200 NS 2015.

        I wonder if the 300V 15W60 will be available here in India. Should be good for Indian (Delhi) summers, i guess. But if the 7100 10W50 becomes available then i surely will go for it.

            The factory line is formulated for racing applications and have the double ester tech where the motorcycle range is used for street usage. Though you can use the Factory line on a street bike.

            • hey guys has anyone here used Agip racing 4t full synthetic oil in their R15's.
              its viscosity is 5W-40
              how is the responce of oil?
              what are its drain intervals?
              Earlier i was using yamaha lube SS so this time i am planing for Agip
              please guide!

                If you can extend.. take full 3000 km from the oil. If you are encountering discomfort, you may wish to change.. Even servo oil and other pure mineral oil can do full 3000 kms as per most of the manuals!

                  Another question. What if I happen to use my bike very rarely, then even after 6 months i won't even reach the drain interval of the oil. Should i just use it until 3000km then only I change it?

                    Thanks to all. I had been to the only Shell bunk in my city. They had run out of the AX7 stock. The bike has run 2.4K km now. I'll wait till the stocks arrive there and pour it in later. It should be 2.7-2.8K by then...

                      Though others can correct me if I am wrong, oil in and of itself doesn't degrade easily, but yes it degrades. If you intend to park your bike for six months, do so. But upon reviving the engine, and after a warm up, check how the bike behaves, harshness in shifting gears, engine sound etc, all these are tell tale signs that your oil should or can be replaced.

                        • can i use 20w-40 grade diesel engine oil in my pulsar 150 classic...i read in karizma ownership thread as it increases smoothness and acts as engine flusher

                            You have a specific use question of using an oil in Yamaha R 15...Post your question in the R15 thread and you may get the appropriate answer.

                            Whenever something not specified by the manufacturer is used or tried in an engine, there is High Risk of engine going bad....Still the human spirit would like to experiment and learn, and it is in this context that a diesel oil is being tried in Petrol engines...the risk is understood and taken by the individual owners,and their report is not the final ,or conclusive ...
                            If you wish to try diesel oil in your engine, remember the risk of engine going bad is present, and it is up to you to take the decision.

                            • Some brains are required for experimentation..

                              My FZ service manual recommends API SG or above oil.

                              The diesel Oil I use is Delvac 1300 Super, API SJ.. Everyone knows 'j' comes after 'g'. hence this oil can be used.

                              What max will happen is clutch slippage!! Many pulsars are slipping clutches with normal bike oils!

                                There is lots that goes into why a diesel engine oil, can be used in a motorcycle. I'd suggest, plainly, why don't you go ahead and try using the same? If you zero in on the oil with respect to the grade for the bike.
