Well, no wonder they are the top suppliers to many.

The owner's manual they give you, does have a page where it details the engine spec and the oil needed to be used, along with the liters.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Call the phone number on Shell India website. Go to lubricants section and you get the number. They would guide you to a proper dealer in your locality. This way, I am sure you would be able to get AX7.

These CVT scoots dont have wet clutches, right? So can we use car oils with friction modifiers??

I doubt that, it must be available somewhere. Anyways, if u cannot find, then use Veedol Super Swift (semi-synth) 10w40. Its also best Two Wheeler Oils :: VEEDOL SUPER SWIFT

Yea bro, you can use it. CVT engines are different as compared to geared bike engines.

There is nothing as bad or good, but make sure you go for the right grade. AX3 and AX5 are really good oils used them for quite a while and can vouch for them.

That is a good question indeed. They don't have cluthes, per se, but they do have centrifugal clutches, or clutch shoes. Using a friction modifier engine oil in such transmissions is gonna have some negative effect on the clutch shoes, which then makes the vehicles FE and pick up drop, I might be wrong, but this is as good as my gyaan gets.

                    Cheers!

No they don't have separate oils as such for gearboxes for CVT.

I don't know whether you'll believe it or not, this guy Sachin who posted this thread, me and him had a chat regarding the same, looong time back, and believe it or not, even an Activa's gear oil was changed at the same time. Perhaps I forgot or I was too ignorant. Thanks for the heads up! Yes that is the 90EP gear oil used.

Thanks, Shoeb. Hope I don't look like a jackass, :banghead:

                            Cheers!

3.2 to 4k (max) KMX. Drained it at exactly 3.3K KMS felt though it still had some life left. Trust me, it'd be all smiles at least for the first 2k KMS, at least with the experiences I've had.
